not to be a gay bitch on main, but i often hurt myself thinking about the torchwood team meeting boom town jack. it's your boss, your mysterious, often grim boss, and he looks pretty much the same except for the glow of youth about him and the lack of his signature outfit which you've never seen him without. and your boss is charismatic, yeah, but this man is fucking effervescent. he's so aggressively alive, so insistently present, and he looks delighted with everything he sees. his eyes light up when they fall on alien artifacts, and early 2000s phones, and the friends he's travelling with. he's so bright it's like staring down car headlights. and i know ianto and he weren't together, but imagine if they were. jack never seems as happy with me as he does with the blonde girl and the man in the leather jacket. jack never seems this happy.
I'm sorry, both The Doctor and Captain Jack Harkness are canonically polyamorous, and people still don't think Nine's era was the throuple era?
The Doctor/Jack/Rose should basically be considered canon!
Me: Okay, finals, I have a final exam tomorrow and I need to cement more of that information in while I still can.
My brain as soon as I give myself a break: Open that computer back up, we're writing about DoctorJackRose.
I have a problem and that problem's name is polyamorous relationships/throuples in media where one of the partners is like a literal God to the other two, another is like their center of gravity, and the third is, like, the literal backbone of how they've even managed to get this far (whether it be in their relationship or whatever illegal/secret thing they've got going on) but their self-esteem/personal view of themself doesn't match the worshipping view they have for their significant others.
It's a very specific problem, but for some reason I have it.
[Insert "If I had a nickel for every time I came across a codependent throuple where (I'm not going to make you read that entire description all over again), I'd have two nickels, which is not a lot but it's weird that it happened twice" meme here]
i saw some people online arguing about whether moonlight serenade or in the mood was the better glenn miller song, and all i gotta say is why pit two bad bitches against each other like that?
to me, it's pretty obvious that moonlight serenade is for when you save a pretty girl during the blitz and you dance together on top of a spaceship in front of big ben.
and in the mood is for when she and her alien boyfriend invite you to be their third
First of yalls requests being granted 🤭🤭🤭 @camellcat
i think the difference between mickey and jack in regards to rose and the doctor (especially pre-satellite 5) is that mickey sees himself as a third wheel in their relationship, while jack just sees himself as the third.
