Vintage travelling document case
Price: $59.79
Description: A very traditional-looking small case with metal locks and a padded handle. Both the top sides open for ease of access. The outer cover is a dark green-blue colour flecked with gold – and is rather worn on the corners. The inside has a lovely raffia-feel basket weave pattern which is all intact. On one of the top corners is part of a luggage label which says 'RAILWAYS – Western Region" And below "TO [Bris]TOL T.M.*, which stands for Bristol Temple Meads, the main train station in Bristol, SW England. The sliding catches work perfectly, but I don't have the key for the locks.
The case is solid and heavy, in the style of old luggage – it weighs just under 2kg. It measures 33cm high, 34cm wide and 17.5cm deep.
It's very attractive and could be very useful for storing all sorts of items, including 12" records.
