update!

Now that I’ve gotten my inbox(es) cleared out, I thought I should post an update and explain why this blog has been so dead in the last few months. ^^;

After recovering from my very intense summer schedule (visiting Hiroshima and entertaining my friend from CA when I got back, right up until the day that summer vacation ended), I had to go back to work, and it’s been nothing but preparation for various school events. So I haven’t had the time to really sift through my collection and get scans and pictures uploaded. 

Though I admit I had a bit of free time here and there in between practice for my hobbies and what not, but I also had a little run in with my laptop. It’s getting old and the USBs won’t connect properly like they used to, so there are times during the middle of the scanning process where my computer will say that it can’t connect to the printer. It gets frustrating having to go through the process over and over again, so I just try to avoid using it unless I really need it.

So yeah, between the busy schedule and technical difficulties, I haven’t been as active on here as I’d like. I’m also in the middle of making an important decision of whether I want to stay in my city for another year or make the jump to move to another region in Japan, so my Pokemon hobby has been on the backburner in general. It’s not that I’ll quit or stop updating this page indefinitely, but please understand that it’s going to be on hiatus for a little longer until some tough decisions are made. ^^;

Thank you all for your continuous support! It’s always nice to see people’s excitement when they reblog a scan or a picture of their favorite Pokemon or merch, and I always enjoy reading those kinds of things. It’s part of why I started this blog besides wanting more people to see stuff they can’t always see unless they also live in Japan. I hope I can continue to get you the content you’re looking for! Please just wait a little longer until then. ^_^

+ My partner who is the absolute ray of sunshine in my life and knows what to say to encourage me as well as he supports me when I overwhelm myself.

+ My adorable students who are always doing their best. It’s admirable the things they accomplish considering they are still children at the end of the day!

+ My fellow teacher co-workers who try to reach out to me even with how busy their work life is.

+ My nihonbuyo dance group and kyudo group. Although the former has few members and the latter is something I’ve only recently joined, I’m very appreciative how much I’ve learned from taking part in these hobbies.

+ The fact that I’m here in Japan and get to learn something new every day and interact with so many different people. The experiences I’ve had since I’ve moved here are something I wouldn’t trade for the world!

Hi, is there any way I could possibly buy the eeveelution sodas from you? I haven't been able to find a way to get them without having to buy a subscription box that only gives you one :(

Sorry for the late reply! I didn’t see this message before, but even if I did, I would’ve had to decline, sorry. There’s a lot of rules about sending food/liquid items in the mail that I just don’t have the time to look up, but I hope you were able to secure a box of the drinks! 

I have the labels from the ones I’ve drank which I was planning to put for sale at some point (with a bunch of other flats and things) but I’ve been saying I’d do sales for some time now, but I still don’t really have the time to dedicate myself to making the long trek to the post office regularly...Maybe in the near future I’ll be less busy. ^^;

Oh! But I do remember seeing someone offering a set of the drinks on an auction on the Pkmncollectors site if you’re interested. It’s here and the auction ends on November 2nd. Hopefully you’ll see this message by then!

Hello there! I'm the anon that asked few weeks ago about whether or not if you were into Precure, fairilu & the like a long with if whether or not you had any colouring book scans to share from those animes, I'm extremely sorry for the late reply I just wanted to let you know that I'm definitely interested in CCS & Precure coloring books along with Digimon, tales of Series/Symphonia clearfiles & other things that you'll be posting! I also wanted to know how do you scan your books & other stuff?

Hello again! I’m also sorry for the very late response. I’ve got a mountain of stuff I need to sort through, but I’ll try to get those others scanned and uploaded on my other blog for you! 

I don’t really have a special technique for scanning. I just have a printer with a scanner feature and just go from there! For books, if it’s an A4 size, I just do my best to straighten the binding out as much as possible so the pages aren’t dark during the scanning process. I’ve never removed the binding from my books if that’s what you’re wondering!
