My mom and I went hiking together once and laughed at the signs warning about bears at the start. We werent laughing 2 hours later when we saw one coming up to the picnic area.
yeah bc is easily one of the most beautiful places on earth to me and i would kill to live there but its also just incredibly fucking dangerous. the last time we went my dad took us to the potholes at sooke and my grandma off handedly remarked that like. that year a woman had fucking died from blunt force trauma there after misjudging a cliff jump. Wack

To me, I always thought that answer was a little bit of a cop out. After building up purple eyes as being this very rare, distinctive, 'special' trait that is a clear sign of having Valyrian ancestry, to then turn around and say "And this woman just randomly has purple eyes, and why should anyone assume that she has Valyrian ancestry after all the time I spent establishing purple eyes as a clear marker of Valyrian ancestry?" is a little weird.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Ask GRRM, but tbh I think he just has a thing for Elizabeth Taylor. :)

how come so many people have arthur dayne locked in as being blonde with purple eyes then ?? i'm so confused about this
“So many people?” A couple of fanartists, some fancasting, nothing canon. Some artists depict him blond, some do dark haired, some avoid anything specific. The ones who choose blond are just basing it on Edric Dayne’s pale blond hair and dark blue/purple eyes, and probably the (fan-edited) wiki. But since there is, again, literally no physical description of Arthur whatsoever, they could be entirely wrong. Hell, fanartists often depicted Ashara with blond hair until ADWD said she was dark-haired. Arthur is just as likely as she was to get the same GRRM treatment.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ELLE EST BIEN LA PUISSANCE DU YAOURT

dogisms said: oh my god how do people think this. the dude is so controlling of EVERYTHING i mean he literally took control of etain's pregnancy like he'd let his kids be all ' i want to experiment with my life'
Honestly! Like, Kal clearly has a very set image in mind of what his children’s lives will look like.
He’s said that a tragedy of clone troopers is that they don’t have wives to return home to and expects his trooper children to marry women in the near future. He expected of Ordo to flirt with every waitress (or, more precisely, be less bashful about it and return the flirtation). He worries most about Ordo because he isn’t sociable and outgoing, implying that introversion isn’t a trait he thinks the Nulls should have. He actively disapproved of Darman’s choice in partner and made Etain starkly aware of it. He feels excluded when Ordo makes the choice to marry Besany without his input. He imagines that all clone troopers and his children want to live on Mandalore, without actually asking anyone. He assumes that Omega is totally down to desert, again without asking them or telling them in advance. He is constantly pointed out to ignore his children are capable of making their own choices, including by Ordo himself. He decided a very set future for his biological children without the input of neither his wife nor his children. He has very set ideas about what a man is and enforces a very heterocentric future for his children.
He has very specific and watertight ideas of what his children should be like, how they should act, when they should do things. He controls every little thing about his children’s lives and is unhappy when they decide things for themselves.
It’s difficult to imagine that a man who micromanages everything about his children into a very narrow image he has of them would be thrilled when they present gender non-conforming or identify as queer in any way.

he likes animals. he felt a connection to them, more so than he ever could have with people. “ hi puppy. “ he reaches his hand out. “ what are you doing? this alley isn’t good. you’ve got a collar. you gotta go home. “
