the evening begins with carefully crafted hors d'oeuvre, each planned properly for his guests by hannibal himself, and wine that matched the tastes and excited the palette. classical music rose through the house, colleagues and friends holding conversation throughout the foyer, as hannibal glances around the space with pride. there is a gleam in his eye - he knows something they don't know - and he's happy to know it. more than that, he's happy to host such a get together. flourishing a wine glass in one hand, doctor lecter turns to greet one of his guests, adorned in a pink shade of dress that amused hannibal enough to pull a small grin.
