I do ship it, but it's definitely more one of my "that's nice" jane austen ships than one I'm suuuuper invested in.
1. What made you ship it?
I generally like them in the book, and emma's development and realization of her feelings is a nice bit of ace recognition. it's friendship turned into love, but it never feels ~set on fire~ because it's mostly about the longing. also, in the book, it does come at the cost of emma and harriet, which is bittersweet.
2. What are your favorite things about the ship?
that they see each other as equals, even though they have this long history, and that knightley isn't hung up on societal expectations (i.e. moving in with emma and mr. woodhouse).
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

1. Why don’t you ship it?
they barely shared any screentime alone together during S2, and so while I can enjoy the academics of the allusions to each other, it's not enough to keep me on board. I was intrigued by S1, but not so invested that S2's narrative could keep that intrigue alive.
2. What would have made you like it?
more interaction now that they both know about the deception in S1; that would be a start!
3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
it's academically nicely paralleled, and I'm curious to see what they'll be like in S3, at least.

NOTE:
for #15, #18, and #19 I went with the first two sentences as the opening sentences were two words a piece. I think they fit together (flow together) like an opening sentence would.
PATTERNS:
this period covers some of my frenetic rogue one production, as well as a period of writer’s block where I was trying to jump-start my inspiration. I’ve only finished one piece in the last year (#1), although I have WIPs that I refuse to just let go. for all that there is variation in style here, I think the main pattern is I try to tell the reader the most important piece of information at the start, and use the rest of the story to expand on that from the start. sometimes that’s the setting; sometimes that’s an internal thought; sometimes it’s a deliberate false start.
I do also seem to use brevity to flow into a longer opening sentence; some of the shorter opening sentences here open into a longer sentence right afterwards.

I admit it! I do love this piece of imagery and think it captures jyn and cassian’s dynamic in a single shot.

eta: I actually remember someone making a “2Fast 2Furious” post about That Episode when it aired and it made me laugh through my denial tears. so there’s that.

i couldn’t agree more wholeheartedly! there’s a great deal of actual comfort within the movie as well (apart from the feud ahahaha). while i don’t have the *entire* script committed to memory, a good portion of it is always rolling around in my brain. whenever i’m watching it, or it’s on tv, and i’m around people, i have to refrain from following the dialogue. -- “that caviar is a garnish!” “if she turns out to be as good-looking as a MAILBOX...” etc, etc, etc. 💕💯

I am suddenly hurtled into imagining some weird techno autotune masterpiece blending "Git off my farm!" with "Show me that farm", and I have never wished more that I had the electronic music powers of, like, Billie Eilish. Maybe someone should tell her about this!!
I'm one of those mind-blind people who cannot actually visualize things, which means this is the greatest thing my mind wishes it could see. Or that my ears could hear. I would pay Billie top money for this. OR, alternatively, those youtubers responsible for that "Bed Intruder" song (aka "hide your kids, hide your wife, etc etc.") TOP AMERICAN DOLLARS.
