I finally repainted my Dollzone 1/6 Little Snow in purple skin because I disliked how her old faceup clashed with her wig. I did have to intensify the coloring on the head as it's faded to a dull purplish-grey. I do enjoy this faceup a lot more than her last, and I love how the filigree shifts between a subtle lilac color to a pale gold.

I still opted to give her darker upper eyelashes (dark brown), Because I think they suit her better than the yellow ones I have I usually use for blonde looks. The new look is a lot softer and cleaner.

See what I mean? The old faceup was messier and I didn't like how the filigree work turned out. I didn't have her actual wig yet when I painted her the first time, as I'd ordered a few for her to try. She settled on the blonde/lavender/white curl wig in the end as seen below. She got a new dress recently as well!

Such a perfect look for her. Now I just need to do a proper photoshoot with her new look again since I did one not long ago at the end of summer. I already posted that one on my doll photo blog (@izasbjdphoto), and she looks lovely despite the old less than stellar faceup from before.

Estate Doll #2: Doll Zone head, Mirodoll(?) body

I'm not sure the sculpt yet-- but I do believe this is a legit DZ head. Came with eyes that are sold on mirodoll still today.

Bless your soul I will clean you soon, I promise. Anyway, onto the bod.

Awwww..buddy your head...don't fit. Hm. So the body itself is.... eh. Not the best? There were some obvious flaws--

Other than that-- there didn't seem to be any obvious seams (although there were a few inside some of the parts.) and I saw no markings. Off to the BJD discord group! They suggested the Mirodoll bodies--

I don't see any major differences other than the uh...horrifying head.

I hate it. So-- I'm thinking either it's a legit (and flawed) mirodoll body or...a recast of a mirodoll body. It's hard to say, as no one online during the INQUIRY had any available comparison photos of their own dolls. One person said they were pretty certain the body was legit-- that flaws were common in mirodoll bodies and that they didn't recall there being any marks on the insides of the parts. Well. Maybe we'll see soon? As per usual, I'll upload pics of each part of my boy later on down the road. For now, you get to sit here and puzzle with me. Enjoy the nightmares that gif I made will no doubt give you. <3

He’s a Dollzone Dreaming Hal (the same face sculpt as my little Gawain, just with his eyes almost closed) and I just love him to bits.
