Dongbeititan is an indeterminate macronairan from the Barremian to Aptian ages of the Early Cretaceous, about 125 million years ago. It was found in the Yixian Formation, Beipiao, Liaoning, china, and is known from a partial skeleton, including some limb bones shoulder bones, pelvic girdles, and vertebrae. Its size is unknown given thse fragmentary remains. The authors suggest that it is a member of Somphospondyli, however, given the fragmentary remains, it would be best to wait for further fossils before classifying it beyond Macronaria. This is especially strengthened by their claim within the paper itself that “cladistic analyses of titanosauriformes have not been very successful, partially due to the poor preservation and insufficient descriptions of many taxa.” AKA, we really don’t know jack shit about Titanosaurs and Macronaria except for a few animals.
