Oh god, I agree so much with you! Benny Severide is one of the worst fathers I’ve seen! Kelly deserves so much better - thankfully he’s got Boden (I know that sometimes he didn’t feel like chief was having his back, but always turned out that he was supporting Kelly and believed in him). I wish that writers would continue to show us that duo and their unique dynamic (because we know that Kelly was looking for a father figure his whole life, but almost everyone apart from chief has let him down: Duffy and Grissom maybe tried, but failed anyway)

Benny was a shit father and I don't know why the writers kept trying with him or thought he was worthy of redemption.

Honestly I would really like for Kelly and Boden to have a talk about how much they mean to each other, or maybe Donna is like 'its a big holiday, let's invite our entire families!' and Boden's like 'but my only remaining family other than my late dad was my ex-stepson James and he's doing stuff with his mother this year :(' and Donna's like 'wtf are you talking about? You basically adopted Matt and Kelly over a decade ago. Call them. Invite your sons.'

And Boden is simultaneously touched that Donna was that thoughtful, and surprised that he didn't realize it earlier.

Okay so been thinking of things I want from Chicago Fire before the series ends (whenever that may be, maybe in 5 years idk)

1) Stellaride married with kids

2) Brettsey engaged/married with a baby

3) Mouch and Trudy still happy and in love

4) Herrmann and Cindy still happy and in love

5) Boden and Donna still happy and in love maybe with another baby

6) Cruz and Chloe happy and in love with maybe one or two more kids

7) Maybe potential Gallo and Violet??

8) Ritter being happy and maybe some sort of vallor

9) A Mills return cuz I miss that boy so much

10) I do actually want a Chili return for her to be sober and stable and back to see Brett, Severide and Herrmann

11) Maybe Severide promoted to Captain

12) Maybe Casey promoted to Chief

13) Gabby to return for maybe the final ep

14) I DONT WANT ANYONE THAT IS CURRENTLY ON THE SHOW TO DIE

15) EVERYONE STAYING ALIVE

16) Meeting Bretts parents and brother she mentioned in season 3 or 4 and also seeing her baby sister again

17) I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO BE HAPPY BY THE END OF THIS SERIES
