Alone, at all odds, we as a British mother and daughter design duo, we are committed to researching and finding out what more could be done, to protect people and planet. Did you know, @amberlovedesh first started when she was seven. Joining me, her mother. After I’d lost my job and had a horrendous disgusting times at the hands of one of the worst cos I’ve ever worked for in my life. This company you forced me to work during the Christmas period, when my daughter’s childcare centre had closed for the holidays in 2009. it was the most horrendous, disgusting cruel thing to do to a single working mother. Especially as the very boss who later would go on to sack me, (thank you) - ended up taking his children and his wife out to winter wonderland. The sheer hypocrisy and how they got away with it back then. But in 2021? There is no way this would be allowed to happen. I made sure I took them to court and even though I was naive and it was my first ever employment tribunal, after the court case, I jumped on a plane. I went to Bangladesh via Dubai. and continued my research into poverty and the solutions and realising that despite all the education in the world, if hardship can happen to me, what the hell was happening to those in the global south. Lovedesh is publishing slowly all the receipts of over 10 years grassroots research. We are not new on the scene. But we are new to those who have traditionally been holding the keys to the doors, when it comes to international development. I find it hilarious that Oxfam didn’t have time for me. I find it even more shocking that the British Council deemed me as being too inexperienced to assist them with their projects in Bangladesh as I was so desperate to work out there. So much so, that in the end I decided to do it all by myself. And many moons later, now look at Lovedesh. And @amcariza - none of which would’ve been possible without the actions of truly horrendous, unethical greedy people.
