yeah tbh and i think that’s why fandom and nerd culture has Always been around, like in Neurotribes the author describes the first emergence of fandom as we know it as a way for autistic people to find community in a way that’s familiar to us yknow, and it’s why i feel so :( when people start talking shit like “fandom is terrible” and stuff like that

like, cmon, this is my main way of interacting with a community, it makes me really sad that people are trying to tear it apart

Hey, since the deadline keeps having to move, maybe you could put out a call for artists who are finished to help out artists who aren’t to speed it up a little? I def could use a helping hand, backgrounds are a nightmare for me 😂

It seems lots of people are still not done, so on the deadline Ill put together what i have so far, im guessing youre gonna have a while of extra time. but yes if anyone is done and wants to help out!! Heres a thing!

Will you be posting submissions after this week? Also, are there plans for future weeks? I really want to contribute but I'm also a really slow artist.

Just because of the sheer volume of submissions, we almost certainly will keep the queue running into next week! As for new submissions, we’ll take them until Wednesday, February 22. 

On a related note, if we’ve missed your submission by then (in the unlikely event it is not in the queue right now) we’ll set up a way for you to contact us and make sure we post it!

As for future weeks, we sure hope so!! Maybe summertime? ;)

In the meantime? Keep drawing girls!! This event was designed to shed light on characters who don’t get very much art, and that’s something you can help to fix even outside of the week!
