#BosPoli #MaPoli.. “He’s a brand new mayor who has 5 million bucks in his bank account and has to get the support of a sitting United States senator,” Jackson said. But given those factors, Jackson felt the mayor receiving votes from only nine percent of the electorate was underwhelming. BUNewsService.com -Jackson Says Walsh ‘Shut His Eyes’ to Violence in Boston #Embargo #Roxbury #Dorcester Following the first mayoral debate, Boston City Councilor, Tito Jackson took to the streets of Roxbury last week to shake hands and speak with his constituents on issues he will carry if elected mayor. “The people support me.” Jackson told a bystander at a Madison Park Vocational High School football game in Roxbury, who questioned his backing. Incumbent Mayor Marty Walsh and his challenger, Jackson, vied for public support the night of Oct. 11, as they took part in the first of two mayoral candidate debates ahead of the 2017 Boston mayoral general elections on Nov. 7. Jackson delivered a stern critique of Walsh’s record on development, education, diversity, and public safety to a sizeable crowd at Hibernian Hall in Roxbury. “This mayor has turned his back, shut his eyes, and stuck his head in a hole when it comes to issues of violence,” Jackson told BU News Service Sunday afternoon. “At this point, he has shown that he is either unable, ill-equipped, or unwilling to address issues of violence in the city of Boston.” The city councilor said that since the mayor is “unable” to address those issues, he should “move out of the way.” Jackson said that $38 million had been spent to settle cases with the Boston Police Department in the past seven years and that the administration spending money based on “a lack of accountability.” “So far this year there had been 716 shots fired incidents, 168 shooting victims, 35 homicide victims and 278 stabbings,” Jackson said. “I would submit as the mayor brags about crime going down; shootings are up, murders are up, and stabbings are up, what crime is he talking about?” #NewYorkCity #Boston #Orlando #LosAngeles #Oakland #Philadelphia #Cleveland #Chicago #Charlotte #Indianapolis #Detroit #Atlanta #Houston #Miami #StLouis #Milwaukee (at The Acre, Lowell)

Zmasakrował jej twarz, bo odmówiła mu seksu
W niedzielę nad ranem przed nocnym klubem Bentleys Gentleman w Dorcester doszło do awantury. Jeden z gości, któremu ponętna striptizerka wpadła w oko, zaproponował jej seks za pieniądze. Gdy 21-latka mu odmówiła, zaczął ją obrzucać epitetami i obelgami. Jak podaje mirror.co.uk, sprawę próbował załagodzić partner tancerki 29-letni Kane Wilson. #Embargo presents #MaPoli #Campaign2016 in #Massachusetts West-Roxbury.WickedLocal.com -Parkway's Ward 20 Republican Committee looks ahead to election The Transcript recently spoke with Michael Scully, chairman of the Ward 20 Republican Committee, to get his views on last week’s primary and the upcoming presidential election. Why do you think there was such a low turnout for the primary and how would you encourage voters to come out? Because of the dearth of contested races. Two long-term solutions are to restore civics education in schools, and to restore two-party government to the city and state. Voter turnout and the quality of candidates will improve in a contested two-party system. The quality of government also improves with a two-party system, as we see with Gov. Charlie Baker's first two years. Why do you think there were no Republicans running for Suffolk County register or deeds or sheriff? Because Democratic registration in Boston is so strong, potential citywide Republican candidates know they have a longshot at winning. Republicans in Boston do best in West Roxbury and South Boston in races for state offices. #WestRoxbury #Mattapan #Dorcester #Lowell #Milton #Springfield #Holyoke #Worcester #Pittsfield #Dracut #Chelmsford #Pepperell #Billerica #Woburn #Wakefield #Brockton #Winchester #Medford #Tewksbury #Tyngsboro #Stow #Maynard #Boxford #Fitchburg (at Lowell, Massachusetts)
Public Safety Alert for Umass Boston
This is why I never lived anywhere near my school...
"When issues of concern arise that affect the UMass Boston campus, it is our practice to inform our community through a public safety alert. The Boston Police Department is investigating a burglary and assault of a UMass Boston student at 10 Harbor Point Drive, Harbor Point Apartments. At approximately 2:30 p.m. on June 3, a male student reported his apartment was burglarized by three male suspects. The suspects ransacked the apartment, assaulted one of the occupants with a handgun, and bound all the occupants with duct tape. The student was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The suspects were three males and one female. No further description is available, and they are still at large."
COOL. I'm so glad I only have three days left at this school. I'm totally going to buy a "UMB" hoody when I'm done though, I always said I would.
