Cross-House Ship Week Collection

I wrote seven fics for Cross House Ship week, @/fe3hcrosshouse on Bluesky.

Day 1: Balthus/Manuela, post-Verdant Wind. The two of them head to Almyra to meet up with Khalid, who has been crowned King of Almyra.

Day 2: Raphael/Bernadetta, post-Crimson Flower. The two lovebirds are celebrating their 10th anniversary, with friends and loved ones.

Day 3: Monica/Lysithea, post-Scarlet Blaze. Lysithea has just gotten surgery to reverse the effects of her Crest, and is now resting in Ochs territory with Monica. Overall lighthearted but discusses their shared trauma.

Day 4: Dimitri/Ferdinand, a fic set post-Azure Moon where Dimitri and Ferdinand have tea together, followed by a homoerotic spear fight.

Day 5: f!Shez/Lysithea, a fic set during the events of Scarlet Blaze. A mix of sexy duelling, friendly competition, and a sapphic tea party.

Day 6: Petra/Ashe, set after an unspecified route. Petra brings Ashe to her homeland to share the beauty of the ocean with him.

Day 7: Dorothea/Lysithea, set during the events of early Azure Moon. Both have abandoned their homelands, but stick together as they both face hardship.

I had a lot of fun exploring ships that I had never written before, and writing fics across different routes. I had a Dedue/Hubert and an Erwin/Balthus in the works, but they didn't get completed in time for the event.

I think Lysithea and Dorothea would have some really interesting supports about how they both view mortality and aging. There'd definitely be a little bit of a clash there because Dorothea views aging as a bad thing. To her it represents becoming undesirable in the eyes of Fodlan society and will push her back into poverty and that really scares her.

Meanwhile, Lysithea is desperate to find a way to get rid of her extra crest so that she doesn't die young. She wants to grow old or, at the very least, have the chance to do so. To her, aging is a blessing because she knows all too well that not everyone is allowed to grow old.

They'd have a big misunderstanding about how the other is viewing it. Dorothea might come off as shallow or arrogant to Lysithea and Lysithea might come off as naive to Dorothea. Their C support might end with a big argument only for the B support to start with them discussing their past and bringing them to an understanding. They'd both eventually come to realize that their first impressions of one another could not be further from the truth. The A support could be them apologizing for misreading them and finding middle ground because no one is really wrong in this scenario.

Optional paired ending card about Dorothea helping to find a way to remove Lysithea's crests and Lysithea in turn taking care of Dorothea for the rest of their lives.
