His Treasure // Yandere! Bane x Hostage! Reader.
The day had started so normally.
It had all started the way that it always had. Get up, get ready, get going.
The city of Gotham was as busy and as gloomy as always, a heavy rain pouring down onto the crowded streets. The sky was an iron gray and people huddled under black umbrellas, stepping over puddles as they hustled and bustled to wherever they needed to be. As you made your way through the crowd of people, you didn’t feel so concerned with other citizens of Gotham City. After all, you had your own schedule to keep.
As always, you got your usual from Riverside Coffee, thankful for a moment out of the rain and the cold. You smiled at the barista as you picked up your coffee and muffin, wishing her a good day as you left.
Your bus came two minuets late, as it always seemed to be, but it still took you through the gray city and dropping you off just one block away from where you needed to get to. You walked briskly through the crowded sidewalk, huddled beneath your heavy coat and umbrella and wishing desperately for just a single sunny day.
And then you finally walked into your place of work: the Gotham City Bank.
Shaking off your rain soaked coat as you walked into the bright, busy building and said hello to a few coworkers milling about. It was crowded as always and you quickly got to work. Being a bank teller wasn’t always the best job (especially in this mess of a city) but it was a good job and that was all you really needed right now.
And for an hour, it was the same job that you had become accustomed to...until suddenly it wasn’t.
You were helping another customer when the far wall of the bank was suddenly blown to pieces, sending dust and concrete and more flying everywhere. People coughed and chocked on the thick air, screaming and running in all directions as dust and dirt filled the bank. You nearly chocked on the now filthy air, your eyes watering as they were stung by the dust.
But you still manged to see several figures stepping into the bank.
As the dust cleared, you were able to make out several masked man, all holding guns and shouting orders to everyone. Two of them shot into the ceiling, bullet casings covering the floor as the brutal sound filled the bank. But it wasn’t them who caught your attention. It was the figure that stood behind them, watching everything and everyone. He towered above them all, standing silently as he looked out over the bank.
It took you only a second to recognize him as...Bane.
He was more muscular then he appeared to be on TV. He seemed to tower over everyone, like a giant among tiny humans. The sight of the super villain made you freeze in absolute terror, your eyes locked onto him.
“Silencio.” His voice was deep with an alluring Mexican accent.
At his command, the screaming and the panicking stopped at once.
“Gather in the lobby. Single lines. Workers on one side, customers on the other. Ya vete!”
Soon, you were standing with your co-workers, staring silently up at Bane and his men.
There were already blue and red lights flashing outside and you could hear the buzz and chatter of cops, reporters, and a gathering crowd. But it meant nothing in here. You could only focus what was going on inside the bank, not outside. The masked men were busy collecting information and valuables from the frightened customers.
Bane, however, was pacing in front of you and your fellow workers, staring at each of you for only a moment before continuing down the line. He stopped in front of you.
Though the giant of a man was standing close to you, details were still difficult to make out. You could make out is muscular form but his face was hidden by a dark mask. His eyes, though...nothing could hide his intense brown eyes. They burned into yours, his gaze never leaving you. And, though you feared him, your eyes met his boldly.
“You. What’s your name?” He asked.
“Y/N.”
“Y/N...what do you have access to?”
“Everything except the my boss’s office.”
“The vault? The deposit boxes?”
“I...I can open those.”
“Bien. You will come with me.”
You knew it was stupid. You knew you should say as little as possible to this criminal. But looking at your elderly coworkers, the janitor with a heart condition and the frightened children clinging to their parents, you felt bold enough to say something.
“Will you let them go? If I help you, will you let everyone else leave?”
With that mask on, you couldn’t read his expression. But you couldn’t hep but feel that Bane was surprised. He paused for a moment, looking down at you with those intense eyes of his.
“...Yes. They can go.”
In moments, everyone else had been cleared out.
Bane ordered most of his men to remain near the doors and windows and the massive hole, all of them hiding in the shadows with their guns. But two men came with you as Bane directed you to open, well, everything. Every dollar, every dime, every valuable item in the bank that was available was quickly stolen. You punched in key codes and unlocked everything as quickly as you could, your hands just barely shaking as you do.
And Bane stood behind you the entire time, standing so close that you felt his body heat.
You felt almost electric with fear but tried not to show it. Telling yourself that this as nothing unusual in Gotham City, you tried to act as calm as you possibly could. It wasn’t easy but eventually...they were done.
Bane and his men had everything that they wanted and you were lead to the back exit. There, a van was waiting for them. They threw bag after bag of stolen goods into the van, the men chuckling to one another. But Bane...he was still behind you.
Still too close. You could feel his gaze locked onto you and it made you wonder...what happens now? One of his men seemed to have the same question and asked,
“Boss? What do you wanna do with her?”
Bane stood silent for a moment.
“Tengo planes para ella. She comes with us.”
You had tried to be helpful. You had hoped that by doing so, your day of terror would be over quickly. But Bane disagreed. His massive hand wrapped around you arm and though you could tell that he was trying to be gentle, his grip still hurt. You were dragged into the car, thrown on top of bags of money as they all piled in.
Two in the front, three in the middle and three more in the back seats...and Bane crouched in the back with you. His brown eyes were still burning and still locked onto you. But this time...he didn’t just stare. Bane reached out, his rough fingers stroking your cheek softly.
“Estaba buscando dinero pero encontré un tesoro aun más precioso”
Your heart was racing wildly as you looked up at the mountain of a man...and you wondered what would become of you now.
The day had started so normally.
Everything had seemed so average bur in only a matter of minuets...everything had changed. You didn’t know where you were being taken or what they were going to do with you. You didn’t know if you would ever get to go home. But as you looked into Bane’s dark brown eyes, you felt certain that you’re old life was now in the past.
You didn’t know why really.
It was only a dreadful feeling in the pit of your stomach but you felt that Bane was never, ever going to let you go. Just like the millions of dollars from the bank, you had been taken...and he certainly wasn’t going to simply return you.
