Happy #socksunday 🦋 I am slowly recovering from my son's 4th birthday party yesterday. Basically I'm glued to the couch drinking copious amounts of coffee while reading ☕️ . 🦋 I decided to listen to THE BUTTERFLY GARDEN by Dot Hutchison this past week. I've had this book sitting on my shelf since it released but never realized how truly twisted it is! I rated it 4/5🌟 simply because I wasn't a fan of the surprise twist at the end. This is the second time I have read this book, and it is just as dark, twisted, and creepy as the first time around! But I enjoyed every minute! The story is from Maya's POV, but it flips back and forth between the past and the present. This time around I listened to the audiobook (my 1st) and I picked this book for a couple of reasons. 1. I have read it before, so I wanted to compare the differences between the actual book and the audiobook 2. How this book is written with the flashbacks, I wanted to see if the flow of the story would be different But just like in the book, it has a great pace and the flashbacks flow effortlessly. It’s a beautifully written story about a dark and twisted world!
