So when her old college friend, Raven, suggests a road trip, she leaps at the chance. But they haven’t gone far when they realize a stranger is following them. What she doesn’t know is that Raven hasn’t been completely honest about this trip - she too has been keeping a dark secret. And now they are running for their lives from a man who knows that one of them deserves to die… Best Friends Forever was a page turner! It has dual timelines, multiple points of views and enough suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat! It is a character driven story and there are a few of them but it's easy to track and follow along. Each character is well developed. The ending was a surprise! I honestly thought it was going to end one way and something completely different pops up! Overall it's entertaining, well written and an easy read! Meet the Author Cathryn Grant writes psychological thrillers, psychological suspense, and ghost stories. She’s the author of twenty-three novels. She’s loved crime fiction all her life and is endlessly fascinated by the twists and turns, and the dark corners of the human mind. Book Review 📖🍎 42/30: Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📝Mini Description: The Delaneys are fixtures in their community. The parents, Stan and Joy, are the envy of all of their friends. They’re killers on the tennis court, and off it their chemistry is palpable. But after fifty years of marriage, and four children, they’ve finally sold their famed tennis academy and are ready to start what should be the golden years of their lives. So why are Stan and Joy so miserable? When Joy goes missing the Delaney siblings face a hard dilemma, do they tell the police? Even if the most obvious suspect is their father? 🌟Mini Review: I really enjoyed this book! The size of it was definitely intimidating at first, but once I got into it I flew through it. I did go into it thinking it was a thriller but it definitely gave off more mystery/family drama vibes. Very similar feel to We are the Brennan's, I could not put it down! I haven't read any of Liane Moriarty's other books, but Apples Never Fall has motivated me to read more by her! Definitely recommend reading this if you haven't yet! 📖🍎✨ 🏷 #applesneverfall #lianemoriarty #lianemoriartybooks #thrillerbooks #thrillerbooksaddict #thrillerbook #mysterybooks #mysterybook #biglittlelies #nineperfectstrangers #buzzireviews #bookreview #bookreviewer #bookreviews #popularbooks #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #indigobooks #canadianbookstagram #canadianbookishlovers #canadianbookstagrammer (at Toronto, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/CUNIzWsLXCO/?utm_medium=tumblr
Review: Her One Mistake
Length: 320 pages
Genre: Thriller, Mystery, YA, Fiction
Rating: ★★★★★
Wow. This book was amazing! The writing style especially, was brilliant. I'll definitely be reading more from this author.
In the world of plot twists, there are plot twists that come out of nowhere, plot twists that you see coming, plot twists that make no sense, plot twists that fit perfectly into the story... and then there's this book.
I mentioned it above, but WOW the writing style is just so amazing! I think this is a perfect example of 'show, don't tell' writing. We weren't just told that Brian was trying to make Harriet confused, we were subjected to that confusion ourselves. It started with little things, like not telling Brian about going to the bookkeeping class, and then morphed into bigger and bigger issues until as readers, we had no choice but to question Harriet and her sanity- much like Harriet herself. This style of writing led to a wonderful unraveling of the story, in my opinion.
