My Journey part deux...
My Journey part deux…
Hi there my lovelies just thought I’d update you as much has changed.. as it does with autoimmune disorders. Two years ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism or known as an underactive thyroid. I have been having health problems with the same symptoms as before. But with the addition of breathlessness and other heart symptoms. It was so severe that I was unable to shower without getting very…

HOUSE MD AU (ignore this)
It's a signature sound, the double tap of cane and sneaker on the hospital corridor. Gregory Swain doesn't look like the most highly sought after diagnostician in the western united states. Jeans, a black t-shirt, and a skull handled cane don't exactly elicit the admiration of his peers. Tolerance is about all they can give him, and only because his skills are supposedly "invaluable". Even then his impertinence can be too much.
He's throwing back his medication as he turns the corner, dropping his hand only to see Dr. Lux Cameron waiting in his office. She's sitting patiently, holding a file, her finished coffee sitting on the top of his trash bin. All the warning signs are obvious. He limps in with a fresh scowl knowing he can't simply ignore her.
"We both know what you're doing. You're standing there like a goddamn puppy dog, and you're about to waste your time trying to convince me that I want to read that file. Don't you have some tests to run? I hear there's plenty of dejected strays just dying to meet you in here."
Her expression is unaltered. "You're right, you're always five steps ahead of me. It's true, you win. I'll cut the act then and skip right to the pitch."
"No no no, that's not-"
"He has two heartbeats."
His stare was daggers but she didn't flinch, that snug grin grating his nerves while her silence pricked his curiosity like fingers on a chalk board. She wasn't this stupid.
"Then I assume you've done an echo and ruled out arrhythmia which means..."
She only raised her eyebrows, doubly pleased with herself.
"You think he has a second heart. Tell his doctor to order an MRI if you're so convinced."
"It's not arrhythmia because his heart is fine, the faint second heartbeat isn't coming from his heart, and he wont fit in the MRI because he's Ursine."
"So it's annoying, that doesn't make it interesting. It's a misdiagnosed heart condition, and it is an arrhythmia. If they have him prepped for exploratory surgery then that's his doctor's prerogative, and I for one stand by it. There should be plenty of elbow room in the bear to really get in there and poke about."
"I can't believe you'd let-"
The door swung open wide as Dr Jarvan Chase burst in and interrupted their bickering, only glancing at Swain woodenly as he grabbed Lux's attention.
"You're going to want to come see this. All his hair is falling out."
Three sets of footsteps left the office as Swain snatched the file and pushed them out the door. One of them was the signature double tap of cane and sneaker, caught up in the one thing that could distract him from his pain. The one thing that didn't come in a bottle.
