SCRUBS 2.06 • My Big Brother ↳ @tvdoctors Halloween Event 2025
Scrubs in your vampire lore? Who would get turned?
OOOOH this is fun--
This might seem pretty obvious for me, but JD definitely ends up a vampire. He's already struggling to exist as an ordinary person in this narrow-minded hospital; vampirism just seems like something that would happen to him. It's not a fun time. Not totally sure how he'd encounter one, though. I've got a few ideas.
Glenn, of course, is already pretty well-versed in most monster lore, and has had to fight at least a couple of them in his adult life. He's got himself a little arsenal he stashes in various supply closets. Especially down by the morgue. You never know. He's also got a little sprinkling of that psychic sense, although it really only comes in handy when the photographer-poltergeist haunting the hospital is one of few keeping his head on straight. Also he's immune to infectious supernatural diseases, being as he's, you know, a ghost.
Turk knows JD gets turned and helps him first adjust and then try to hide/make excuses for his vampire tendencies. Maybe tries to smuggle blood bags from the hospital. Ropes the Todd into it because does Todd ever really know what's going on? Turk probably ends up turned at some point as well, given how my vampires work. Definitely JD's doing and most likely an accident.
Cox is straight up in denial about all this. Right up until he's face to face with a bad situation. That isn't how medicine works: infectious diseases do not bring people back from the dead, nor do they turn the infected into blood-sucking, walking corpses. Carla, is also in denial at first, but she's also extremely observant and eventually finds out what happens to JD. Probably helps Turk cover for and take care of him right up until Turk is turned, as well.....
The "Brain Trust" definitely morphs into a vampire hunting crash course and team. Cox probably ends up joining once he digests what's actually happening. Doug is either turned but still works on the team as an inside man or is replaced by Cox after it happens. Working down in the morgue with all those cadavers...cadavers who do appear dead before the Turning process...it's inescapable.
Adding a sixth one because I just feel like Elliot is a werewolf and has been this whole time. She comes from a family of them, and for the most part, they're all pretty well-adjusted. Took her a little longer to navigate lycanthropy on her own, but she's pretty much figured it out by the time this vampire epidemic happens. Glenn suspects something's up with her but hasn't had the heart to commit and investigate. Not his Blond Doctor.

The side of the Inuyasha fandom that only just forgot how cringey they were and now they have to deal with the knowledge that Sesshomaru fucks:
Doug Murphy is basically the Neville Longbottom of Scrubs. Like, he starts at the hospital at the same time as Elliot, Turk, and JD, but he’s not a great doctor until he finds his calling in pathology.
Doug is an absolute angel and i love him very much give him a break

Scully: I’m sorry, Jake, I just don’t think pirates are cool.
Jake: Well, then you’re not cool, Scully.
