I really like your “Ask mischief” this blog is the best. What’s your opinion on Seamus and Neville. I know Seamus sided with the Ministry but he apologized and fought against death Eaters. Sorry if this bothered you. Have a great day.
Thank you so much !! <3 <3 Hope you have a great day too!Well about Seamus, what to say. He ‘’side’’ with the Ministry of Magic because his mother told him so and because, like a lot of witches and wizards, believe the only source of magical information they have. (Beside the Quibbler, which no one takes seriously, what do they have? the Prophet got the monopoly of the media )
And besides, didn’t her mother threaten him to not send him back to Hogwarts if he was going to hang out with Harry? So well… a lot of fifteen years old would have done the same. He switches side after Harry’s interview with the Quibbler and decides to stand up for his own ideas and belief and to trust Harry instead of the newspapers. This is very brave to be honest, realizing you were wrong, apologies for it and then stand up for what’s right after that even if the majority is against those ideas.
And for Neville, well I think everything had been said about him.I admire book Neville a lot because he had a difficult childhood and no one seems to acknowledge that and he still gets bullied a lot. Yet, he stands up to his friends, he stands up for what he believes and what’s right and this is not given to everyone to do that, especially since everything of what happens is when they are only kids.
Looking at it through my adult eyes now, the things they had been through, this is amazing how their characters had grown with the years and how young they were to have such strong opinions about the world and about what they had to do. Let’s be honest, the only thing that interested me at fifteen years old was to sleep and read fanfictions.
Well, this is what I think about those two, I got no strong opinion on them because they are canon and we know who they were their backstories, so for me, they are little left to the imagination about those two.
