7.08.17 | a cup of cocoa + war and peace = an awesome morning.
25.07.17 | my grandmother finally finished editing the first half of her book so today has been a lot of reading!
06.07.17 | agh okay i’m not sure what happened to the quality of this image because it definitely looked nicer on my phone! oh well, i suppose it must be blurry for now at least. anyway, here is some vocab for this week’s post of the summer language challenge! it’s been a busy week, but i have been working on keeping my duolingo tree gilded and advancing with coffee break spanish and language transfer - i’m particularly enjoying the second one, and i would totally recommend it to any english-speakers trying to learn another language because it really helps you think about the way the languages are related!
here’s a little bit about my family to tie in with the vocab - as always feel free to let me know if i make any mistakes!
07.09.2017 | well, it’s the last week of summer for me, so that means i’m about done with @notglot’s summer language challenge! while i haven’t quite achieved all the goals i was hoping for (i haven’t had a chance to actually try holding any conversations with native speakers, and i had to drop some of the podcasts i was using to learn just because of time), it’s definitely been a very positive way to spend my summer. i made a lot of progress in terms of vocabulary as well as my comfort with simple phrases and grasp of basic grammatical concepts and i hope to keep working on it even as i start my formal learning of italian once the school year starts!
so i honestly cannot believe that i made this blog a few weeks ago and i already have over 100 followers? wow! thank you all so much for following me! and extra thanks to everyone who’s messaged me, i love being able to meet you all.
as a bit of a celebration, i’d like to make moodboards for a few of you!
rules
✦ you do have to be following me, since this is a celebration for my followers!
✦ reblog this post (likes don’t count!) before july 2nd
✦ inbox me a few things about yourself and your interests so that i have something to go off of (some examples could be hogwarts house, favourite subject, extracurriculars, favourite movie, colours you like, favourite plants, preferred jewellery... anything really!)
✦ i’ll be randomly selecting about 5 of you to make moodboards for, or more if it turns out i have time!
i’m going to tag everything related to this with #sapphiccstudies100 so feel free to blacklist that if you don’t want to see them!
what is your organisation system for school? / what quote has impacted you the most? (sorry for asking 2 at once omg;; also unite lesbian studyblrs tbh)
hmm my organisation system is kind of… nonexistent? :0 last year i had a homework notebook as well as a different binder for each class but. it was not the most effective method. hopefully since i will have fewer classes in college it’ll be easier to organise? idk i’m still deciding what to use so if anyone has suggestions let me know
the quote that’s impacted me the most is probably neil gaiman’s “fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten” because it really changed the way i look at writing and the purpose of writing stories idk it’s a good quote
thank you for asking!! <3 also yesss consider this a digital fistbump ✊
