What would you do if you looked up during surgery and saw this?
I would tell my nurse to get off the damn phone during surgery! It’s not like it’s a dratini.
Alrighty, so I tried something a little different for this video, putting it somewhere between a case study and an explanation of the pathology and treatment. I think it makes it more interesting, even though it makes it a longer video. Tell me what you think of the format.
There’s also some procedure footage in there, but it is very tame and not at all gory, considering the topic.
Cat penises, folks. The topic is cat penises and what happens when they get blocked.
Have you met dr ferox? Do you know of her (perhaps through the grapevine) since you live in Australia?
I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Dr Ferox, though it’s likely we’ve come close. The vet industry is a small one and we do practice in the same city, but it’d be SUPER CREEPY to go up to anyone at a vet conference or seminar and say HEY I READ YOUR BLOG.
I’m actually not sure what name she practices under, but I don’t particularly care to find out. Because again, SUPER CREEPY.
hey so i only just realized that in addition to being an awesome animorphs fanartist you’re also the one dr ferocious commissions! small world!
aw thank you!! Yeah, Dr. Ferox is awesome! I’m assuming you meant @drferox, lol. Maybe Dr. Ferocious could be her alter-ego for when she really has to lay some brutal vet med knowledge down on ignorant people putting garlic on their pets and stuff.
Did you all enjoyed the ‘suit party’ on CYM Discord? I did.
I definitely did Sev! Thank you for doing this.
Could you do a video explaining allergies (particularly in dogs)? I feel like there’s a lot of different information out there
I hope this one will satisfy, my patient anon friend.
I’m running a bit behind schedule with the immunology topics, but here’s the second one of the planned set. The first one, the introduction, is here.
How do you know when and how pets get diabetes? Is it like humans where they get too much or too little sugar?
Diabetes Mellitus is extremely similar between humans and other species, but it’s not really about sugar, it’s mostly about insulin. We just measure blood sugar because that’s what insulin affects, and it’s a heck of a lot more convenient and cheaper than measuring insulin directly.
There’s a surprising amount of misconceptions and false information about diabetes, and it’s worth browsing the actually diabetic tag if you want to understand what it’s like to experience, but here’s a brief overview of it for you.
