Apothecary Diaries - The 5 Most "Would not be fun at parties" Characters (in no particular order)
Vice Minister Lu - This guy has negative whimsy. It's a miracle Chue is still as wacky as she is with this guy sucking all the joy out the room. I sympathize with Yao trying to avoid this guy
Dr. Liu - As the one who has to deal with Maomao and Tianyu's antics, I sympathize with his anti-fun energy actually. Great character
Basen in the early LNs - Takes everything way too seriously, cannot relax at all, how dare that servant girl play with Jinshi, etc. Love him but he would have a hard time grasping the concept of "just playing around and goofing off"
Tianyu - It depends, really. On paper, he has a lot of things that would make him entertaining, at least. His ability to gossip and stir shit would be incredible, making him a great person to watch from a distance. But at some point, you gotta ask why we invited the guy who brings severed hands to the potluck
The Emperor - Through no fault of his own, because if you let the man be himself, he'd be really fun and chill. But, like, this is the Emperor we're talking about, nobody wants to be the guy who gets too drunk and says something awful in front of the almighty Emperor

No More Diabetes: The Herb That Changed Medicine || Jia-Yia Liu, MD
From taking Professor's Weed, aka goat's rue or fresh lilac. To "Glucose disposal agents, i.e. metformin, a prescription" How is it taken to reverse aging in ppl without diabetes..?
holy crap I just got more confused listening to this middle bit.
Dr. Liu, you started out great, still improvement is needed. You have a big gap in what you said, didn't connect all the dots in your talking points. I thought I understood blood sugars associated with insulin, but after hearing what was said in this video, it is clear as mud. It was like you were actively editing out what comes naturally with grave effort to fit into a certain narrative.
It kinda sounds bogus when taken in conjunction with the metabolic health specialists who pooh-pooh insulin & medication, when what is needed is time & space for the patient to relearn the basics of when their body is telling them to give it more prebiotic fuel for the gut rather than a meal to fuel the body's energy needs. Which if we are honest is likely loaded down with unhealthy oils/additives & sugars.
Are you trying to legitimize this drug for borderline sick ppl (pre-diabetics) when this is prescribed for diabetics? or are you actually trying to say this is NOT effective for ppl who are diabetic??? Please say what you mean exactly, don't hide behind qualifiers without going over these related issues which you touch on without clarification. As though you want ppl to incorrectly correlate Metformin & therefore prescriptions in general as helpful for their ailment. My pharmacist was asked point blank by one client, "So will this cure me?" To which she adamantly turned to give her best impression of Vanna White indicating what she is saying applies to all the drugs behind her:
"None of these drugs will cure any disease, they only treat your symptoms."
I'm not joking you, that was verbatim bc the two were curt/gruff. [I'm not dissing Vanna White, I think she is lovely at what she did]
In the end, it seems likely you're just shilling for big pharma when you compare ancient history without addressing the latest advances in metabolic health & the implications of continued drug use.
Bottom line: I don't trust this video, and I'd rather re-listen to Dr. Robert Lustig & Dr. Ben Bikman any day over your videos at this point. Seriously, I am thinking to black-ball your videos for a while for this stunt. I also don't like being called "friends," it sounds super phony.
