Dr. Wong is such a great character because in her first appearance, it seems like she's talking to the audience rather than to Rick ("stop trying to be like him, he's an asshole who refuses to change"), and it's safe to assume that Rick learned nothing from this and will never open up to her.
However, when she returns in later seasons, you see that she IS the perfect therapist for him and knows how to reach him on his level. He just wasn't ready to hear it yet.

I was way too ambitious when I said I would do 4 of the prompts, this one killed me, I need a break.
