Because I Love You (Drarry)
Harry walked into the Room of Requirement, ready to finally be in a quiet place so he could study Potions. He looked around to see what the magical room decided he needed this time. He was surprised to see that there were no signs of potions or ingredients anywhere. Harry did, however, spot a door on the other side of the room. Harry walked over and opened it. Draco Malfoy was standing over a sink and it looked like he was crying. Harry saw Malfoy look up in the mirror and spot him. Malfoy whipped around with his wand out and cast a curse at Harry. Harry ducked just in time and pulled out his own wand, pointing it at Malfoy but not casting a curse.
"Malfoy I don't know what's wrong with you and I don't need to know. Just let the both of us walk out of here unharmed and alive. I promise I won't say anything about this. Just let me leave." Harry said calmly, wand still pointed at Malfoy.
Malfoy glared at Harry. "Then leave. Don't say a word to anyone or I will kill you Potter. I promise you that." Malfoy said coldly.
Harry slowly put his wand down and started walking toward the door. He wanted to help Malfoy and find out what's going on but Malfoy hated him. Harry opened the door and walked out, closing it gently behind him. As soon as Harry let go of the doorknob he heard an anguished scream and glass shattering on the other side of the door. Harry decided he didn't care if Malfoy cursed him, he needed to help Malfoy. Harry opened the door again and saw Malfoy's arm and hand covered in blood, the mirror in pieces on the ground. Harry ran to Malfoy's side.
"Draco you idiot what were you bloody thinking!?" Harry yelled frustratingly.
Harry pulled out his wand and pointed it at the blood on the floor and mirror. "Scourgify." Harry said and the blood disappeared. He then pointed his wand to the broken mirror. "Reparo." He said and the mirror fixed itself. He then grabbed Malfoy's arm and pointed his wand at the gashes. "Vulnera Sanentur." Harry watched as the gashes healed. He then looked up at Malfoy. The boy seemed frozen in place, out of shock or anger Harry couldn't tell.
"You called me Draco." Malfoy mumbled.
Harry blinked. That is not what he was expecting Malfoy to say. "Er yeah I guess I did." Harry said quietly.
"Why did you help me?" Malfoy mumbled again.
"I...um..." Harry couldn't tell Malfoy the truth, that he didn't want Malfoy hurting. "I don't know..." Harry whispered. "Why did you do it to begin with? You could've seriously hurt yourself." Harry asked.
Malfoy looked at Harry, who noticed the boy looked scared, worried.
"I...it's none of your business Potter. Just go." Malfoy said coldly.
"No. Not this time. Not so you can do that again." Harry said sternly.
Malfoy looked at Harry in surprise. "I said leave Potter, before I curse you."
"No." Harry said simply. "Tell me why you did it and maybe I will."
"Get. Out. Potter." Malfoy said through his teeth.
"Tell. Me." Harry said resolutely. He knew Malfoy wouldn't curse him, otherwise the boy would have already done it.
Malfoy glanced at Harry then quickly looked down at the floor. "I...because I love you." Malfoy whispered.
Malfoy was so quiet that Harry barely heard what the boy had said. Harry's eyes widened. "You...you what?" Harry asked quietly, unsure if he heard Malfoy correctly.
Malfoy walked away and sat down on a couch that was in the room. Harry followed but stood beside the couch. Malfoy looked down at his hands, which Harry realized were fidgeting. "Because I love you Harry." Malfoy whispered yet again.
Harry collapsed onto the couch beside Malfoy, stunned and speechless. Malfoy looked at him, the boy looked worried, scared, upset with himself. Harry sat upright and grabbed the neck of Malfoy's shirt, pulling the boy to him. Harry kissed Malfoy before either of them had quite processed it. Malfoy froze for a few seconds before he was wrapping his hand around the back of Harry's neck, kissing him back passionately. They stayed like that for a minute before Harry pulled away. He leaned his forehead on Malfoy's.
"I love you too Draco." He said. Malfoy smiled.
