Dragon Deceit :D or maybe Degon XD

Remus: When you unknowingly open a portal to another dimension and let out a dragon that starts tormenting your little brother just as much as you do.

Janus: Hey, fucker! Fight me!

Did i get a new au in my head... yes. yes i did. Dragon Deceit!

Okay so in this au of sort, dragon riding is a thing, the training of dragons aren't very ethical, but no one knows just how horrible it is. 

Deceit never liked the way the dragons were treated, and spoke out against it, he even released several of them only to get caught by the lord who owned the training centre who’s dragons he released.

Deceit is not afraid of death, but the lord just smirks and tells him he got a worse punishment in plan, and tells the witch he knows to turn Deceit into a dragon and throw him amongst the others. Most dragons are brown or green or sandy coloured, earthy colours. But Deceit is bright yellow, making him stand out.

He struggles to get used to his much bigger form and tries his best to fight back. Only to get tired out after weeks of little food and water. He starts to loose grasp of his humanity to his anger and pain, but he still understand the human language, unlike the other dragons, so he makes sure to slap anyone who speaks badly about him with his tail whenever he can and they're within reach.

Later on a messenger from the King (Roman's dad.) comes telling that the king wants a dragon for his son the prince (Roman. Remus is in this au too he and Roman are still twins but they got different fathers, and it is very visible in Remus’s paler skin. the king is not happy about it, but the queen loves both her boys, even if one is from outside of the arranged marriage and son to a nobody.).

Due to Deceit's rare colour he get's sent to the palace, and he hates everything about it. He do enjoy scaring the stable boy tough. He despises the prince and his brother the moment he sees him. But still he's stuck with this stupid royal boy. Things happens and Deceit slowly warms up to him and his brother, but is in denial.

It's one late evening before the night of the new moon when Roman and Deceit are flying that the spell seems to change, because suddenly Deceit can't move his wings and everything hurts, they crash to the ground and Roman try to help but Deceit is big, and his body is twitching and trashing and he could easily squish Roman if he’s not careful. Roman could only stare as Deceit turns back to human, somewhat, scales still cling to his skin and body, the clothes he wore when he was cursed is in tatters and dirtied, but still holding together. The moment the pain dies down and he realises he got human hands again he just starts crying.

Roman is confused and start to wonder if every dragon can turn to a person before Deceit calms down and manages to tell them what happened to him, in a bit broken wording, since he had only been able to growl and roar and rumble for a long time.

He also tells Roman his real name and not the name the Lord forced upon him when he was turned to a dragon.

Only sunrise comes and with it the curse returns full force and Deceit get's stuck as a dragon once more. But now Roman knows, he refer to Deceit by his real name, and if asked he says he like it better.

Roman tells Remus about what happened and they both ask the Scroll Master if he knows anything about magic and curses (Logan), and with his help they start to see if they can find a way to undo the curse and return Deceit to normal. 

Roman is not blind to the way Remus is a flustered mess around Logan, trying to do daring deeds so that Logan will think he’s cool and smart, only for the deeds to backfire and Remus get’s himself in more trouble than it’s worth, only for Logan to have to get him out of them, but he doesn’t seem as annoyed as he was at the beginning. Roman just shakes his head at the two lovesick idiots.

And if he realises later on that he slowly is growing romantic feelings for the cursed dragon, well... he will think about that later! And try to get the handsome human face out of his head before it messes up his ability to think.

The dragon witch is a nice lady in this and i’ve been thinking about making Virgil either her adoptive son or her shape-shifting familiar, who helps in weird cryptic ways.

Not sure what to do with Patton tho, I kinda wanna make him the Lords son, but then you got two ways: It can go with either a helpful Patton who goes behind his fathers back. Or an unsympathetic Patton who appears to help at first before doing a plot twist like Hans from Frozen.

Not sure about Thomas. He could be a younger brother or a close friend to Roman, or he helps Logan.

Deceit is like a big intimidating dragon that’s drumming his claws on the desk, practically asking the others if ‘they’re reaaally sure about what they’re gonna say to Logan’ cause they might wanna think twice bout that.

Yes. Exactly like that. Except a bit more snake than dragon. There is a distinction there. Dragons may seem wild, but they are wise. They have culture and honor.

Snakes? Snakes will wreck your shit and laugh. 

But now I have this image of this golden dragon version of Deceit curled around Logan and just… Cuddling/taking a nap.

I drew Deceit as a Dragon, to add this wonderful new villain to the roster of the Sanders Sides that I’ve drawn as dragons. If you haven’t seen my other Dragon sides, you can take a look here. 

Random tidbit: He actually isn’t a dragon! Well, kinda. Y’see, there are a lot of different types of dragons. But for Deceit, I decided I wanted to try a different type of Dragon. So, I chose a Wyrm! That’s the type of magic dragon that you see in movies like Spirited Away. Kinda like flying serpents with optional wings.

Long explanation short, I drew Deceit as a snake with wings cause he’s a snek boy <3
