"Which Harry Potter character do you relate most to?" Here's where the answer is probably rather unexpected to everyone who doesn't know me very well: Charlie Weasley 😁
While childhood trauma-wise, I can definitely relate more to Snape, I choose not to focus on the negative aspects of my past life anymore. Here's where Charlie takes the crown of that character I can most relate to: 1. Dreaming of doing specific animal-related job since earliest years. 2. Pretending to be doing said job since earliest years. 3. Achieving the goal of having the dream animal-related job, in adulthood. Charlie dreamt of working with dragons since forever. I dreamt of working with reptiles (specifically: snakes) since forever. Charlie pretended to work with dragons, to study them, he went out there to find dragons in the wild. I pretended to hatch snake eggs when I was a very, very young child (3-5), went out there to find snakes in the wild, observe them, interact with them. As an adult, Charlie made his dream come true - and worked with dragons. He worked with all the species that fascinated him, including very rare ones. As an adult, I also made my dream come true - and am now a snake keeper AND breeder, that includes my dream species, rare color mutations and so on. I have some of the most beautiful snakes in the country, I'm hatching truly exclusive snakelings, I'm importing and exporting snakes from/to different countries, continents. Some of the dragons Charlie works with could end his life, if he wasn't careful enough. Some of the snakes I work with could end my life, if I wasn't careful enough. Living the dream with, hopefully, very bright future, surrounded by animals I'm literally obsessed with. I bear scars from (very rare, bless em) attacks. Just like Charlie Weasley! Even if it's not sunshine and rainbows all the time, it really is.
