Many of you know that I had the honor of organizing the Owl House photoshoot at DragonCon this year. It was a fantastic experience -- we had easily over a hundred people show up dressed as a whole array of different characters from the show, and everyone was absolutely lovely.

I never got around to sharing our official pictures, so here's a selection of some of my favorite pictures from the photoshoot (and stay tuned for some other silly ones that felt worth posting on their own)

This was absolutely one of the highlights of my 2022; I love this show and so many of its fans so much, and I'm looking forward to organizing more things like this in the coming year!

The WWDITS cosplay contingent came out strong at DragonCon 2022!

for some reason it took me approx. 2 hundred years to edit these photos of my 2nd star to the right dress taken at dragoncon but here they are! this dress was inspired by pixie dust, tinker bell, and traveling to neverland! ✨✨✨🌈

the beading on the central star and rainbow was done by hand, as was all the gathering on the front and back of the dress. the train is a separate piece which slips into the lace-up back so it can be removed in crowded spaces. this design originally debuted on the sdcc 2022 her universe fashion show runway and also includes a matching night sky coat.

I was not sure how this cosplay was going to be received at Dragoncon. I played it 100% straight, no shenanigans, and folks received it as such, too. Got a lot of great compliments on my costume (and face, ha ha) and a lot of love for both the fictional and historic Valery Legasov.
