Finally finished this dragon for my dad’s birthday. I’ve been a bit all over the place lately and drawing usually gets put on the back burner in such times.

Aw well, a fluffy feathered, cockatoo of a dragon. He has an impressive crest, large ears, and tips of his jaw whiskers all that turn bright colors when it’s breeding season. His larger feathers will also lift up to make dazzling displays to females and to make himself look larger to rival males. He has small horn-like protrusions on the side of his upper neck. It is believed that these are to help in combat with other males.

He has a sharp beak on the top jaw and three smaller beak like teeth on the front of his bottom jaw. His jaw is also lined with small sharp teeth.

His lower neck is bald, with thick, wrinkly skin. His face is also made of thick skin, but covered in small pebbly scales, fading into the feathers that cover the rest of his body.

A WIP on a dragon that was supposed to be for my dad’s birthday. I need to redo his farthest horn to have it be in the correct perspective. Also his lower jaw scales and upper lip scales look off too.

It’s an older male who has been through his fair share of ordeals both rival dragons and knight related. He’s partially blind in his left eye and the same incident split his lips pretty good.

this is my first piece of art i’ve posted EVER and it’s a crappy little pen drawing i made while bored in class so uh... there he is.

i don’t know if i’ll even keep this up but i’m taking a little bit of a jump from my comfort zone here because why not. i’m pretty proud of this guy.
