G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it

My first OTP was probably Buffy/Spike. It was the first fandom I read fanfic from, I didn’t really think about ‘shipping’ before that - I usually went with what canon presented in terms of romance arcs or not. 

I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why

Dragon Age Inquisition / Solavellan is the first and only fandom I have interactd with through tumblr, so no? I must say I in the beginning followed a few blogs focused more on DA2, though I don’t have a lot of interest in DA2 in terms of fanfic (though I loved the game). However, the DA2 fandom is very intense, with lots of debates and strong opinions in absolutes that I don’t care for. I don’t really interact with non-Solavellan DAI fandom in general, save a few lovely Cullen-fans or multi shippers. I stay in my corner. 

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas)

HA. Like I don’t have enough AUs?? I really love all sorts of AUs, and now I can’t think of any. I do love crossovers, but it is hard to find something well written? I love the idea of Buffy-as-the-Inquisitor. (poor Buffy)

Talking about what music I associate with things is one of my favorite subjects. First of all, the soft dreamy quality it very reminiscent of the Fade but the lyrics are occasionally harsh and violent. I think the juxtaposition of opposites is very like Solas. Now, the lyrics: 

We are just shadows in the cascades of history.

This could apply to either Solas or Lavellan. It’s about the knowledge that their lives and feelings will be erased by time. 

You pry me thumping from this long drop. My twisted body in a bind that you want to break.

To me this is like Lavellan trying to free him from his duty. 

I sense all your omens. You are young, you are able.

Solas must be very conscious of Lavellan’s youth but also sort of awed and maybe envious of how much she’s accomplished.

Shotguns are slow and powerful, sniper rifles are precise, pistols are only useful for close combat. I prefer assault rifles as my main weapon so you can just spray bullets everywhere like a lunatic lol. For melee weapons you can’t go better than the electric firan but you won’t have that option right away

Solas/Lavellan Honey

I know this was for Solas and Lavellan, but I had an idea that just worked really well for Solas only.

His order is brought to him by a serving girl that is clearly not pleased to be attending to him. Her expression could cut glass, until she spies the extra coin left at the end of the table. The byproduct of a group of foolish bandits that thought to find an easy target in the lone elven man wandering the streets. She pockets it quickly with a furtive glance back towards the bar, and when she meets his gaze again, it is with a grateful smile as she brings an extra plate from the kitchens and leaves him.

Solas sips his tea. The taste is bitter and unpleasant, but preferable to the possibly contaminated water or the alcoholic swill the humans refer to as wine. The plate left behind catches his interest; it contains a small serving of honeycomb that looks freshly harvested. He picks it up, the honey oozing down his fingers in a slow, viscous trail. The floral scent fills his nostrils as he takes a bite, and for a moment his senses are overwhelmed. He tastes the wild flowers of the Fereldan fields, bright and sweet and bursting on his tongue as he chews. The honeycomb is devoured within seconds and he chases each drop of honey running down his fingers with his lips. 

His blinks his eyes open, not sure when they had closed. It has been literal ages since he had last eaten a delicacy so sweet while in the waking world. The fade could offer him impressions of tastes as he experienced the modern age through dreams and memory, but this…he had forgotten.

His fingers return to his lips as they curved upwards, savoring the lingering sweetness.

   I’m curious, but why are writing a fanfic for a game you hate?   

A reasonable question!

Because I love Ace Attorney, and hated Apollo Justice.  So I’m rewriting it.  It’s turned into a fairly large undertaking.

It’s actually made me like Apollo a lot more (I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed his parts of Dual Destinies if I hadn’t started writing this fic) so, that’s good.

writing found in your OC’s trash can

A note found in Inquisitor Iwyn Lavellan’s trash can, crumbled into a tight ball. The note begins with a half written word, scratched over and illegible.

Inquisitor, 

with Corypheus fast approaching, I found it prudent to leave a written report rather than wait to meet in person when you were available.

@seekingidlewild it was $5 for a beta key. I think they are still giving them out for that price too. But when they’re out of beta there will be a free version.

Ah, okay, a free version with fewer features makes sense. I read that they intend to fund their site through subscription fees rather than advertising, so I was slightly worried. Not for my own sake, because if the fee is reasonable I'm willing to pay it, but a lot of people won't even consider joining a site they have to pay for.
