“I learned a lot this summer about the workings of the corporate theatre, and this will help me in the future because if I were to ever be involved with a theatre company, I would now know both the corporate and artistic side of the theatre.” --Rachel Woellner

“I had the opportunity to work with playwright Micheline Auger on her new play #love95times during the time of its production at Centre last January, along with two trips to New York during the play's continued development. I also got to present at the Southeastern Theater Conference, and I was lucky enough to be featured in American Theatre Magazine talking about my experience with this project. After cultivating such a great relationship with Auger and her work, I began this internship this fall. My duties dealt with advocacy and outreach for #love95times, as well as managing the artist's media profile. I became familiar with the playwright's other work, and was in charge of outreach for her plays.Throughout this process, I learned a lot about the practical work of being a freelance theater artist, as well as the inner workings of what it takes to produce new writing. I discovered that I really enjoy literary management, and I am now considering it as a possible path for my post-graduation theater work.” - Rachel Kent
Working on my notes for the reading while watching Bigfoot documentaries on Netflix. I like to enjoy my days off, even if I have to study!
