“Where is he? This place is usually his stomping grounds.” I thought as flew over the charred landscape.
I had gotten bored and decided to go universe hopping again just to see what I could find, and decided to see what Draximus was up to again. While the orange varanid’s fits of rage and numerous battles were entertaining, I had secretly hoped to find him relaxing for once.
As soon as I heard his telltale roar I knew he was near, and I quickly located him.
“When will the poor guy ever calm down...” I thought as I landed a mile away.
I came upon Draximus fighting a wolf. The wolf had large tusks, and bad burn wounds. Draximus only had a few scratches, I noticed as he struck the wolf again.
The wolf dodged and latched onto his arm. Draximus roared in pain and snapped his angry gaze at the wolf. He tried to pry open its jaws to no avail. The two began a tug of war over Draximus’s arm; both struggling to get a proper foothold to gain the upper hand.
“Why don’t you just breathe fire in its face?” I thought.
At that moment Draximus turned around and started running in the direction that the wolf was tugging, causing it to fall back on its haunches and then get crushed as Draximus fell on top of the wolf in a failed attempt to trample it.
“Or I guess you could do... whatever that was.” I thought.
The two struggled to get back on their feet, but Draximus got up first and grabbed the wolf’s face in his hands. With one hand keeping its mouth from opening, Draximus raked the claws on his free hand across the face of the wolf with enough force to cut down to the bone and gouge its eye out. Draximus let go, and the boar wolf was bleeding badly, and backing down. I couldn’t help but feel a little bad for it as it limped away with it’s tail tucked between its legs.
And then Draximus snapped his head towards me.
He roared as he charged towards me. Putting as much power into every single step that he could to gain as much speed and momentum as possible before slamming into me...
Which would have probably looked like a small child trying to attack an adult, since the 300 foot varanid was only half my size.
I decided to just stand there and let him take his anger out on me. It didn’t hurt too much and I could regenerate from any wounds he gave me instantaneously.
Until he stomped on my toe.
“OW!! You little shit!” I yelled as I picked Draximus up by the back of his neck.
“That is NOT NICE!” I told him telepathically.
Draximus just decided to hang limply while giving me a death stare.
