mmmmokay I’m just gonna throw this one out there: scott loses power from 3b all the way to getting lydia out, then he’s back to healing as he should. it’s entirely possible he’s been losing power because the beast has been taking over, cancelling his own out, and that the beast growing stronger now needs a viable host. so it heals him. could also be why he’s had beta power levels despite the alpha title- it’s what the beast had. ALSO I’m pretty sure deaton knows, that fucker, because him testing scott’s ability to go through mountain ash could have been him attempting to trigger the chimera part of him (however tiny it may be) so he could send him into the ice bath, lower his body temp and make him get in touch with la bete.
