Sometimes I really want to read a short summary of what to expect from a game with a very particular description that CATER to my OWN SPECIFIC interests, so here we go.

what to expect from THE LONGEST JOURNEY

\a point and click adventure game with a lot of puzzles. Some puzzles are very hard and the guide was my best friend

You play as young art student April Ryan, very humorous, resourceful and absolutely feel like a real person

two worlds: a modern a bit dystopian one and a fantasy one, mainly medieval with some strange dreamlike creatures in it

normal girl April Ryan ends up meddling with travelling between her world and this magical fantasy world

typical linear journey structure, as April has to visit different areas and characters to collect four stones

lore exploring and world exploring

every character definitely felt like a real person, everyone was written like they were the protagonist of their own story, even the secondary ones

April travels mostly alone and sometimes with a talking crow named Crow

some very funny and humorous moments, especially from April and Crow’s comments

surprising ending!!

plot? you are April, a young girl who is chosen to save two worlds gameplay? a lot of puzzles characters? AMAZING. all characters just seem people! sadness level? medium happy ending? deaths? (spoiler under cut)

The ending is a bittersweet one, as April is revealed to not be the guardian, so she is left a bit lost (she still saved the world, but she was wrong about her destiny).

Furthermore, an important character (Cortez) dies.

i guess the bro-zoning feel much less like a bro-zoning when you accidentally start talking at 2 cm of distance in the most awkward scene ever… and I guess also knowing the roles and use of the word “sister” in Kian’s culture
