For some, Cree is the voice of their generation, as the actress, singer, and mother had been credited with over 340+ voiceover roles in over 180 titles throughout her career . . . While older generations know and love her for her role as Freddie on #ADifferentWorld other remember her iconic raspy voice for characters such as Susie Carmichael on the Rugrats, Miranda Killigan on As Told by Ginger, & Number Five on Codename KIDS Nextdoor. . . When asked about her impact on the TV and Film Industry, Cree says, “... As far as African-American roles, we’ve come a long way, but I’d still like to see more diverse roles for African Americans and other ethnicities being created in the cartoon world.” . . One role Cree Summer says she’d love to do voiceover work for is a fairy 🧚🏾‍♀️

Meet Monica Owusu-Breen! 

According to Deadline Hollywood, it’s been recently announced that Buffy the Vampire Slayer will be played by a Black woman and we know who’s behind the inclusive decision. @monicaowusubreen is a decorated television veteran who has wrote and produced for shows like Charmed, Fringe, and Midnight, Texas. Most recently, Owusu-Breen has worked with BTVS creator, @josswhedonofficial, on @agentsofshield. We can’t wait to see what Monica does with Buffy and beyond! Keep living the #DREAM!
