i remember you posted art of xandra talking to her two dreamselves a while back. how well did she get along with them?

none of the Xandras really like each other (Lil' Xandra being the exception) as they are. the dreamselves want Xandra to change, and honestly both of them want sort of similar conclusions for Xandra but in different ways. it's hard to explain

Prospit Xandra: "I don’t fall apart over every loss. I don’t let people walk away. I take what I want, and I win." Derse Xandra: "The people, the world, the very threads of existence itself—I do not chase them. They gravitate toward me. Their fates tangle in mine, drawn in by the weight of inevitability."

SO YEAH

i will say though Prospit Xandra was a lot more ... abrasive. but after Johan's death Prospit Xandra wouldn't stop having visions of the infinite ways he could die over and over so Xandra helped her uhhh not ... have those for a little bit... so they're doing a bit better now in terms of their relationship

Derse Xandra recently gave her some advice about charting her own path, including an ominous warning so i might have to like.. ask wtf that's all about

so it's getting better but eventually they will all become one or something cause i gotta fuckin God Tier Xandra and she hasn't been able to learn what that means yet

2- April 9th, Theme: Prospit and Derse OR Dream Bubbles

RAAHHHHHH DAY 2 💪💪💪💪💪💪 i wanted to draw sel and kat today they're fun to draw together :333 and im not acutally doing this at 2 in the morning this time!!! yay me for being productive i think. i took some artistic liberties this time itz great im havuing FUN over here. im also using this as panel practice tee hee

Are there limitations to what a Dreamself can do? To what extent can they modify their own bodies, like Jade growing extra arms or Tavros regaining his ability to walk? Could they make themselves physically stronger, or grow body parts that give them new abilities (gills, poison glands, etc)? Also, is there a limit to what they can manifest in their rooms? Could a dreamer just poof the Ultimate Frog or an Instantly Win Button into existence?

I feel like you've answered this before and I just can't find the post. If you have, please link it to me. (This is the anon with the dreamself question btw)

Now THIS is an exceedingly interesting question, because I have thought about this before, and I have a very good theory on it. In particular: Consider how Jade was when she was on Prospit. Forgetful, happy-go-lucky, often times forgetting about what was going on in the real world. Consider, too, the times we’ve seen things like what you described happen, and the times where they could have but didn’t.

Dreamselves are, in my reckoning, as their name indicates? Dream selves. They act under Dream Logic, and so do the rooms. They change to match a subconscious idea of things, but they’re very difficult to influence directly. John was asleep when his nightmares made the clowns pop up. Rose wrote the Genetic Code in her sleep. Jade was dazed and sleepy as usual, and other than the general ability of flight, she never displayed any sort of shapeshifting outside. Furthermore, once the Dream Self fully ‘awakens’, and you become conscious of it, or you die and awaken as the Dream Self, these abilities are never seen again.

Technically speaking, within their room, Dreamselves probably have no limit or very little limit to what they can do. And yet, the more aware you are of what is going on and the things you could do, the less you’re capable of doing it, because it’s no longer just a Dream, it’s physical reality in a parallel world.

Dreamselves are fleeting fantasies, dreams, of the to-be-Gods, that they will achieve in their waking hours once they Ascend and their time comes.

day 5 of rarepair month, prompt was dreamselves! i think i drew aradia a little weird. but also im not used to drawing her so maybe she looks normal and im just not used to it? idk anyway have this nepara lol
