Somewhere between reading Richard Connor’s new book, hours coding videos, and restless dream-laden slumber, something clicks. No pun intended. My eyes re-focused and memory reappraised. Within the most calamitous of dolphin bashes, displays and flipper touches emerge at the transitions of some disorderly ordered dance. All attention broken momentarily, they split and scatter into aimless chaos. Then with that familiar and eerie synchronicity of truly social creatures, all rostrums align at once. What’s lost is the who is who among these fast-moving swirling grey shapes, but something more collective emerges that draws me closer to the screen in oos and aahs and bouts of hysterical laughter at mini-eureka moments. #phd #drones #science #drones4good #marinenammals #belize #dolphins🐬 #dolphins #turneffe #dronestagram #awesome #nature @oceana_bze @thegraduatecenter @rockefelleruniv https://www.instagram.com/p/BnTmBKql1vY/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=o04k3w0omsz6
