Last night I dreamed that I was in a creative writing class where I had a short story due in the next few days (the dream couldn't decide how many days), but I hadn't written a word of it.
I continue to have graduated in 2009.
Last night I had multiple dreams:
Something to do with a giant flood. I don't remember any other details, which is annoying because I know there were some.
A dream where I was at a college and had anxiety about whether I was taking enough classes and suchlike (I graduated in 2009), but this time there was a specific teacher involved.
I was walking around campus, with this "background narration" involving a Death Note plot where some shinigami or other had given another random kid a Death Note, and the kid was trying to get the notebook to L/Long-Haired Near without getting arrested. There was a brief moment of confusion where he was considering "selling it to the highest bidder" but rigging it so that L would always have the highest bid no matter what, and since Long-Haired Near and his people weren't actually in on this, they were like "hey wait a minute"; however, I then thought "wait no, buying and selling Death Notes is against the rules now as of that 2020 chapter, they'd just die"
Continuing from the previous (I think), I was naked and trying to get home without anyone seeing me, but then I thought "hey wait I can just teleport home" and did so.
Things I dreamed about last night while sleeping fitfully:
I was in college, and suddenly realized that I'd forgotten to register for any of the classes I was attending (I graduated in 2009). I went downstairs to another level, and there was a classroom which was a "mimic" classroom, or counterfeit or fake or something. The dream did not specify how it was fake or whether it was actually dangerous to go there.
I was in high school in a rural area, but my bike broke down. I discovered that there was actually a bike repair place much closer to my present location than I had previously been worried about (my bike's tire popped recently and it was a half-hour walk to the nearest place I could get it fixed). There may have been confusion about whether this would actually help waking-me.
A house where my mom supposedly lived, and which doesn't particularly resemble anywhere we've lived. I was trying to bake some leftover pizza in the oven -- it was the kind of thing where it was cut into squares, and I think it was supposed to be from this one specific pizza place which is approximately a quarter of the way from my home to the aforementioned bike shop -- but I discovered that someone had turned on every single oven and toaster-oven in the house, and I had to go around turning them back off. The dream expressed the possibility of stuff inside the ovens that wasn't supposed to be there that might have get burned or melted, but this was expressed in the dream as an annoyance, rather than a danger, and either I was able to get them out before the ovens got too hot, or they somehow just weren't damaged.
I joined Tumblr in 2011. At that time, I had graduated from college two years previously. As the years go by, the fact that I still have dreams which 1. are either about attending college or high school, and 2. involve worries about missing tests and/or classes is increasingly simultaneously hilarious and frankly a little concerning.
The other night I dreamed that I was in the Matrix, and there was ... something ... which had some level in something-or-other ("integrity"?) which had a value of zero, which meant it was a surprise that it hadn't collapsed.
Then I was having lunch at college, and I was just about to graduate! Except I was worried I didn't have enough credits and that I might have to take another semester to make up for it! Which actually happened to waking-me, in fucking 2009! I'm making this post in 2022! Also, I was hanging out with a friend I'd had in high school who was a homophobic edgelord!!
There was something which I kind of felt like had to do with Otherside Picnic, but also I was reading over RP logs in which I'd supposedly roleplayed as Frieza. I'd apparently had lots of fun hamming it up and saying his "You can all go to hell without me!" line. (Which in the actual show was under a circumstance which would have been allowed in exactly zero of the places where I've actually RP'd due to restrictions on time travel.)
I dreamed that for some kind of class, I had to run a game of D&D with Kogasa Tatara. However, I was having immense difficulty finding graph paper, which I felt in the dream was vital to this endeavor for some reason. I eventually quit and started wandering around town -- there might have been other monsters -- before I was abruptly freed from the Matrix and found myself in one of the hoverships.
The above is more coherent than what actually happened.
We got attacked by an Agent, and dreaming-me was worrying about getting beaten up before remembering that Agents only exist inside the Matrix, and the Agent immediately got replaced by a Sentinel. The dream then sort of forgot about the Sentinel and "a swarm of ghosts" passed through the upper floors of the hovership, like it looked like this solid blue texture that had a teal pattern. I was told by my only-vaguely-specified captain, "They aren't the ones you have to worry about."
The hovership then became blocked by a "wall of ice", which looked like ... giant tubs of ice cream's worth of cylinders of snow. We had to get some contractors (from the Matrix?) to help dig through it without them realizing anything. I was standing right up against one of the ice(-cream)-walls, and I felt the thing-the-captain-said-I-should-worry-about poking at my gut twice, which woke me up.
Last night I had a dream that I was worried about tanking my grades due to not really taking any of my classes or doing the coursework (I graduated from all forms of education in 2009, remember). My final exam somehow involved the animal mafia from Wily Beast and Weakest Creature -- I know Saki was depicted, and possibly Yuuma and Yachie. Some kind of Sonic the Hedgehog game was also apparently relevant to this dream.
I also had a dream the other night where ... let's leave out the part about animal-death, but it then cut to me worried that the math classes I was taking for the purpose of game dev stuff weren't going to be enough, or I wanted to drop out (I graduated in 2009). I was then in this restaurant or candy story or whatever, where like it was underground or something, and to descend onto it, there were these lifts which were smaller than my feet and you "stood" on them while they descended. The purpose which was given in the dream for these ridiculously-unstable and dengerous lifts was "for peole who are afraid of escalators."
