Last night I dreamed that I was, like, the "rival" of Team Sonic in Sonic Heroes. Yeah, just me by myself. It was mostly set in this live-action outdoor sports field, which wasn't 100% clear about which sport it was, and also there was an indoor area with, like, I dunno, some sort of vague locker room and also a gymnasium?

The dream kept jumping around chronologically, like at one point they and I were going to go Super for the final boss, and then it depicted me using the Chaos Emeralds to power both myself and Sonic up so we could fight in super-mode (he was alone for that scene), and then it went back to just running around normally. There may have also been this background-detail about some evil dystopia we needed to overthrow or something. At no point did the dream answer any question that might contain the word "why".

A dream last night with a bunch of things happening:

Strong Bad was filming the latest installment of the Dangeresque film series. Due to some disaster that was happening on-set, he decided to make it an artsy thing where the title character dies at the end, and the mantle is taken up by a successor -- including the implication that this has happened to every previous installment.

From there, I flew over to Hawaii. As in, "flew" under my own power, not in some kind of vehicle or aircraft. Some sort of Christmassy or other religious festival was happening there (it's May at the time of this writing), and being that I was a demon, I had to lay low for a bit in case merely being in public at the time became dangerous or painful.

I was in an old mansion, somewhere between Edwardian and mid-twentieth-century style, where each floor had a single room which was being rented out as a different "apartment" ... except it was over a dozen stories tall. I lived in the seventh floor, and some people were coming to look at the ninth floor. There was a brief tangent about PreCure, but then a girl fell and hit her head while I was like teleporting around the upper floors or whatever, and I briefly considered letting someone else deal with this(!?!?), but then I knew-in-the-dream that it would have to be me due to people not paying attention, so I started furiously looking around for the nearest refrigerator where I could find an ice pack; I knew that there were publicly-accessible areas, and there was a communal refrigerator somewhere. For some reason, it didn't occur to me to try to look in my own apartment. And then I woke up.

Dream #1: an Evangelion AU where they were just straight-up magical girls. Shinji got gender-bent by the magic, before ulatimately realizing "wait crap I'm trans."

Dream #2: Set in a rural town which was completely different from where awake-me lives. I got locked out of my apartment building in this town (which also didn't resemble where I live, inside or out), and I'm pretty sure I was just in pajamas. After segueing around town for a bit, someone let me in, but I still couldn't get into my apartment, so I just used a video game's "teleport/fast-transit to home" function. I was completely satisfied in the dream that I would never have to worry about getting locked out of my apartment again.

I dreamed that my mom and I were poking around a library. I ... got something, or failed to get something? I started walking home down the street (it kinda resembled main street where waking-me lives?) and this big huge tornado started coming up the street back at me. However, it was also a very mild tornado, so I just ducked and covered, y'know right out in the open, and let it pass over me. I got back to the apartment, which had wooden-style paneling and looked basically nothing like anywhere I've lived. The only damage caused by the tornado was that this one ... plant ... fixture ... thing in the apartment had collapsed into the water beneath it, in the middle of the kitchen floor. Y'know, whilst indoors. I think my mom got vaguely annoyed by something I said, or did. At another point I think I forgot something in the library, and tried to do the thing where dreaming-me closes my eyes, concentrates, and teleports somewhere else, but I'm not sure that worked.

Last night I dreamed that I was driving to "(my mom's given name) Springs" to do a roleplay thing in real life (so, a LARP, I guess?). I was going to use the superpowers dreaming-me had, and this was supposedly going to work out fine. I went to use the bathroom, but I had trouble doing so (because I was asleep). My mom and sister were in the area for unrelated reasons. I changed my name to some Christian-sounding gibberish like "Saint Mary Our Savior", then wondered in the dream whether the Virgin Mary was an actual saint or not. I then suddenly realized that I hadn't paid to use the hotel I'd parked my car at, then got confused because I already had the key to my room. I then figured, if my car was gonna get towed, I probably had enough money to just "eat" the fine if I had to pay one.

Last night I dreamed that I was in this line of people that was like this sort of ... "fighting game tournament", except instead of being a game, the fights were happening "in real life", and instead of any sensible kind of tournament, it started in the back of the line, and whoever won each round advanced to the next round, with everyone fighting in sequence.

I'd been accidentally added to the list because I apparently misunderstood what I was signing up for, so at first I was trying to figure out how to bow out; at the time, the current winner was using some kind of magic to control audience-members or something. I changed my mind about quitting, and grabbed a steel yardstick from a nearby closet for use as an improvised weapon. But that wasn't enough. I then proceeded to grab a second steel yardstick, to dual-wield as improvised weapons! Surely this way I would win! I woke up before the fight actually began.

There also might have been something to do with Makima from Chainsaw Man, but I dunno.

Last night I dreamed that I was some hero or other, possibly Ellen Kramer (the updated trans version of my high school self-insert OC), who was hanging around in some dystopic wherever, and I went to see this diva, and we seemed to be hitting it off, but then at a command from her, some thugs from the dystopic powers-that-be suddenly put a sack over my head and dragged me away. I think I might have escaped with some kind of superpowers?

There was then a whole deal where there was a "resistance" and a "rebellion" against the dystopia, and there was a conflict between the two of them because the rebellion (I think) didn't want to dismantle the existing power structure, their problem with the current status quo was that they weren't the ones in charge. This was all "narration" for a sequence where I had accidentally gone to school/college even though I wasn't registered for classes because I had just recently graduated, and I then became worried that I might keep accidentally going to school/college. This reflects the fact that waking-me graduated from college in 2009, and I nevertheless keep having dreams about class-registration or other screwups.

I also dreamed that there was this sort of ... monster-apocalypse, like the world had been conquered by these monsters who looked human and ate people. Humans were stuck in these sort of small communities, though it didn't really specify how they were defended. The buildings from the old civilization were mostly intact, though.

I was someone who fought against these monsters -- it didn't specify whether I was unique, or if it was this specific role that people could have -- but I was somehow able to just jump or fly around and just slice them to bits. I ran into a group that was bickering, or mistook me for one of them, or something; I woke up before we started fighting, though.
