Update to the cat mug ask, @myheartflutters posts a lot of scam ads it seems (or at least, that's from what I found)
previous ask (sorry for being late in responding to them both):
previous ask- text version:
https://www.tumblr.com/myheartflutters/816220508429434880/the-perfect-mug-doesnt-exi-i-found-it-here I stg if this ends up being like that damn astronomy ring ad, I'm going to be pissed. The ring is cool, but I wish people would stop spamming ads disguised as posts
Hi there Anon! These are, unfortunately, dropshipping websites!
I need to add that entry to the index, it's in my scams to bee aware of post but not in the index, that's my mistake, oops. :( @ai-art-thieves has covered that group of advertisement-scammers here:
Posts tagged with #case: lavenderconstellation.store
i used to have more posts on this blog. i know i used to have more.
i dont know why they disappeared, i presume that maybe lavenderconstellation deleted the blogs they were using to advertise and my posts went with it. i archived a couple of them on the wayback machine, but due to unforseen circumstances(namely the internet archive currently being down) i cannot grab those links right now.
let it be known that lavenderconstellation is a dropshipping scam. they take products from aliexpress and such and sell them at a huge markup. they steal designs from actual artists. they get their products from factories overseas that frequently have horrific working conditions. do not buy from these scumbags.
they try to trick people by making "normal" meme posts, spamming them with trending tags, and then CHANGING the post to one of their shitty ads once it gets notes to trick people into continuing to reblog because they believe the post is credible.
do not be tricked by these people.
EDIT 12/6/24: i found the wayback machine link to a previous post of mine that explains the pattern of these scammy posts better, here it is, you can also find a post i made before that one in the notes of this post from meme-finder! stay safe, keep your money, don't support dropshippers!

A dropshipping beauty brand can look polished, European, and cruelty-free. Here are 9 warning signs to spot one before you spend a euro.
Something has been driving me up the wall lately and I finally wrote about it. You know those fake indie beauty brands that have been showing up in everyone's Instagram and TikTok feeds? The ones with the polished founder backstory, the magical color-changing foundation, the soft European aesthetic?
A lot of them aren't real. They're Shopify storefronts run by people who set up the whole operation in a weekend, dropship rebranded AliExpress products to your door, and disappear when you ask for a refund. They use AI-generated About pages. They invent founders. They claim cruelty-free with zero certification.
After 18 years writing about indie beauty, I put together a guide with the 9 warning signs I use to vet a brand before I buy. For anyone who has wanted to support a real indie and ended up uncertain whether the brand they liked was even a real company.
If you've ever been fooled by one, you're absolutely not alone. I have been too.
Etsy Shoppers: Were you scammed into overpaying for an item you thought was handmade, only to have it arrive with an obvious "Made in" tag?
