Thank you for letting me be with you for all this time💛
My Scythekick journey below if you want to read it, but if not, either way, i'm glad about the all the moments that led me here!
(pardon any misspelling, grammar errors, skipped words, and agonizing paragraph format, I started writing this at 2am😭)
March 14th 2023 was officially when I joined the scythekick/dropplets membership! (I still remember the battle i had to do figuring out how to do it with a vpn, it was truly trial and error...
And the day before (March 13, 2023) was actually when I made my first thumbnail for him!!!
But i think what officially made me become a scythekick at heart (before I even knew it) was when I first downloaded his model sheet to draw him for the first time on February 17th 2023!
It's really funny actually, I was watching (started out watching) Luca and Vox mainly, but sparsely because of time zones. At the time I wasn't really too dedicated but I still watched all wave debuts after Luxiem (including Xsoleil!) The funny part for it was that I actually just missed his debut for the relay by a few minutes 😭😭😭 (but i did get to catch meloco's, ver's and kotoka's!)
When I first saw his design and heard about his lore I wasn't too interested in the rough guy delinquent rp so i didn't think much about watching him.
It wasn't until i saw a clip of him and hex playing minecraft where they accidentally cut down one of (i think pomu?)'s tree and they started panicking.
And let me tell you I LAUGHED!!
Then I was like 'huh, this guy is pretty funny!' so I went ahead to his channel to see/join a few of his streams.
I can't really tell you what was the first stream I ever officially watched from him (it was probably yomawari, i do remember the making of the safety bush joke but i didn't stick around lol) because honestly, long form content from anime boys was actually still sort of new to me (and before I was watching irl streamers on twitch and short form 1 hour max video's at best). I kind of dipped from anything I lost interest in but I DO remember what the first stream i saw live and actually stuck around for was: Melatonin :D
and if you know the timeline of things, the day i bought the membership was LITERALLY the next day, I was SMITTEN!!! He was so funny/silly, sweet and really interactive! (which really surprised me!)
Now of course i did have some moments where I became afraid to actually become a dedicated fan to him, because prior to all of that I didn't know they could graduate and leave forever! All the youtubers i have watched, and so far the vtubers I had ever heard of at the time, stayed active for like YEARS
and then Yugo graduated
and then Mysta
and then Nina
and then I started getting really scared because I started dreading the day his name would appear and I began to think it would just be easier on me to not become attached at all!
so for a few streams i kept my distance but of course that didn't last very long (lol)
I don't remember who said it but they said 'appreciate them to the fullest while they're still here' and eventually I started coming around because I thought it would actually be 10 TIMES WORSE for me if he were to graduate and I barely interacted with him at all!!
So eventually I decided to fully love this guy as a fan, to cheer him on, to celebrate, to listen, and even to hang out with other scythekicks!
and now it's been (almost) three full years for me! I still can't believe so much time has passed, it truly doesn't feel that way...
It's kinda scary how fast time flies fr.
...
Honestly if there was a chance for me to become a scythekick again in another life, with the same path of suffering and hiccups...
Cant help but notice all his favorite kouhais are quite... similar
