2 and 10 for coronis!
Thank you for the ask! @thepoisonjackal also requested 10 for Coronis so I’m just gonna put them in one post!
2) how or why did you choose your characters class(es)?
The first time I played as Coronis on bg3 was entirely experimental. It had been years since I had played dnd and I wasn’t sure what class I wanted to play. I was intrigued by the draconic sorcerer (I’ve been obsessed with dragons since I was little lol) and gave it a go. Playing as a sorcerer was fun but eventually I multiclassed into paladin and became obsessed. Second time playing coronis I decided Paladin fit my vision for her better. And that was how I learned paladin was my favorite class!
I came to love the divine casters of DnD a lot and decided a cleric/paladin combo was perfect for Coronis. One of my first DnD characters was actually a cleric and I adored her (tho I knew pretty much nothing about the gods at that point and just picked a random one lol)
I have tried multiple classes for Coronis on bg3, some homebrew, some official, but the paladin stuck. Originally she was an oath of vengeance (this was before console mods) but I changed it to oath of conquest. The play style and oath tenets fit her better than the oath of vengeance. I tried other multi classes too, hex blade warlock, blood sorcerer, etc. but I eventually landed on twilight domain cleric. It was a perfect fit for her given the general aesthetic of dusk and twilight I’ve incorporated into her design. I still try new classes with her on bg3, but her canon class is paladin/cleric.
10) What's one irrelevant detail about your character that will never come up in-game/ writing/etc but you love
Love this question, it was kinda hard for me to pick which one lol. I make up random stuff for her all the time that really has no weight on the general story.
Once coming to the surface, Coronis found she absolutely loved fruit and berries. Strawberries, peaches, pomegranates, pineapples, etc. she snacked on them throughout the day, it was like her little treat. Her son came to love them too so she would often take the time to carefully and meticulously pluck the seeds from a pomegranate for him because he hated doing it himself lol. You would find her bringing him fruit throughout the day to snack on.
Here’s another one for fun! (Thinking about it, this one is kinda important to the story and not entirely irrelevant. Oops. Still gonna share cause I think it’s cute lol)
Chandaura was responsible for a majority of Coronis’ elaborate battle braids. She ofc had servants do her hair when Chandaura died, but it was different. To both of them, braiding and playing with each others hair was their love language. It was deeply intimate. Coronis disliked letting strangers touch her hair, it was incredibly precious to her and in her mind a symbol of her status and power. But when Chandaura played with her hair, she felt safe and calm. There was enough trust between them that Coronis relished these moments together. After leaving Menzoberranzan, she had no servants to do her braids for her. For a while, she wore none. She ofc knew how to braid but it’s harder doing it on your own hair and she subconsciously felt she didn’t deserve braids anymore and needed to re earn them. Plus much of the love woven into her braids was lost with Chandaura. When Chandaura braided her hair, it was an act of love and trust. A symbol of the depths of their bond. Coronis mourned those tender moments and once again felt undeserving of it considering the tragedy of how their relationship ended. She has ofc begun braiding her hair again now that she is a paladin again, she just does it herself now. (Sorry this one is not irrelevant I just wanted to share. Forgive me lol)

My beloved baby, she is god's favorite princess and most miserable girl in the world.
Different versions of Tav’renn
i never posted this !!!! context: we tried to convince our probably thalassophobic cleric that she'd look DIVINE if she had water-brething on and got herself carried to the undersea location we were headed to by a dolphin. She said she didn't know what a dolphine was, and i (the bard) drew her a medieval looking wonkass dolphine so i (the artist) HAD to draw the scene
Lineart commissions for @steebthedm.bsky.social of two DnD NPCs. Ishara Starsoul the Drow Cleric of The Starweaver and Tera Windwalker the Air Genasi Fighter.
Leave it to me to think that I can be normal about making art for 2 minutes and then go clinically insane for 6 hours.
I drew this for my dnd character Maveriz Kleepnear, a 5 y/o Drow Cleric. I love him and his stupid lil bowl-cut
Enjoy
