The Drownsman (2014) You know those irrational fears we all have? Well after nearly drowning Madison has a deathly fear of water… Even if it’s just a drop she flips her lid. Is it a fear of drowning or that scary man she sees when water is around her??? Perhaps we will never know. Her friends decide it’s crazy for her to be afraid of something so necessary to life and form an intervention. Yeah! Let’s just force her into a tub of water! That’s a great idea! Well slowly each friend starts to see what Madison sees and have second thoughts about water themselves. As the movie progresses a backstory is unveiled about a serial killer who very slowly drowned girls. The Drownsman, now he’s back and he’s come for Madison. The film has its bad moments, some questions about how she bathes and stays hydrated still linger in my mind but it was a good flick. Elements of My soul to take and urban legends flashed through my head and of course an ending that tricks you into thinking you’re finally safe. Not bad, not bad at all.

Watching a scary movie where the villain is like Freddy Krueger but instead of living in nightmares he lives in water. The athletic chick was the first to go and now I’m very suspicious of all things liquid. If you don’t hear from me in a few days the drownsman got me.
