DrumJam Updated With AudioBus
I recently made references to the amount of similar apps that are flooding the Apple App Store, and driving the price and value of them down to the ground. Drum apps and similar beat making apps are probably one of the worst offenders. It’s not to say that the apps weren’t thoughtfully designed – it’s just that there’s very little that makes an app better than the one standing next to it. Here’s an app that I originally thought was lumped into this category: It’s called DrumJam, which does what most drum apps do – provide drums. DrumJam has a unique interface that allows you to see what the instrument actually looks like, in case you were turned off by their confusing names. Anyways, DrumJam is getting the treatment that Propellerhead’s Figure might be getting soon; full integration with Audiobus. This means that your drums can be sent directly into other compatible Audiobus apps and your live music and actually be recorded by another app. Another useful implementation has been added as well, it is also compatible with WIST technology for Korg users who want to wireless triggers functions within their own software. Finally, you can have a dedicated drum making program running in conjunction with a tablet based DAW. http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2012/12/11/drumjam-updated-with-audiobus/
The future of sound is here, and the sound of the future is drum! Are you ready for more power? Are you ready to multiply the options available at a single keystroke beyond the horizon of yesterday? Is your DAW facing extinction? Is your back sore and your limbs tight? It’s time to tool up the sample pack at the center of your crown chakra, tighten the toms at the bass of your spine, and hammer out the rhythms you only see when you close your eyes. A drum is only what you make of it, shaped only by the humanity of the beat-developer. Go ahead and get started with DJ Tool’s The Complete Drum now! DJ Tool is a returning guest at Mom, an auteur with a muscular and steadfast vision, the managerial scope of a man and the wide-eyed wonder of a child. And just to show you how serious we are about variety here at MOM Instruments in Capital and Automated Dissemination (MICAD®@ATM), we've provided you with an extended audio tutorial that will lead you through the Tool’s Visions of Drum. At the heart of life’s eternal Criterion Collection, Mom Radio awaits with quality and content ever at hand. Tool’s hands are vinyl-hewn and his musculature flows from the establishment, but he serves the resistance. He beckons us to join him, to live for the death of analog-warmsplaining, and to fight the noble fight for the rise of digital matriarchy. AdBlock the state, open the mind to the oceans of time and realize the content at the heart of the revolution.
What Every Musician Needs: Mo' Rhythm (there's an app for it)
What Every Musician Needs: Mo’ Rhythm (there’s an app for it)
As Duke Ellington taught us, “It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing.” Rhythm is the most fundamental of musical elements. It’s the glue that holds everything together. A clue to how powerful rhythm is can be heard when a “wrong” note played with a funky rhythm: it still sounds good. There is a new tool that can help you acquire better rhythm for yourself in a fun and easy way: Mo…

Drums By Asrodot: Not Your Average iPad Drum App
If you’re like me, people have been telling you to “stop tapping!” your whole life. Trouble is, I can’t. I’m not even really aware I’m doing it. Table tops just bring it out of me. They lure me in with their subtle sonic nuances and before I know it,...
