on the topic of marching band,
today is the last day i will be in the band room as a junior. the next time i will be in there for marching band, it will be as a senior (and hopefully drum major again). all my loves ive met through music, and marching band gave me the best experiences of my life. with my fellow musicians ive found both a home and a school; both a reason for desperation and the dedication to get better. it gave me a kind of hope and freedom i had not known existed. for that i will always be grateful, and i will always be grateful i met you there, sweetheart. i love you. i cant wait to see you on the field next year. make me proud, as you always do.
