Wait hang on. It was just pointed out to me. When Drummond beat Mark almost to death Mark hadn’t even done something huge wrong yet. Drummond just saw him like climbing on the testing room door. And beat him up. Drummond has never exhibited that type of violence before towards the innies. I wonder why he did this time. Is it because he guessed they were going for Gemma? Is it because that was the testing room door? Or. Is it because…..in his mind. He was protecting Helena from this innie. We know from the one deleted scene in the script that Jame finds the idea of Helly and Mark kissing gross. And Milchick also seemed grossed out by Helena and Mark S having sex. And we can assume that the “contretemps” Drummond and Natalie are keeping a secret from Jame is her sleeping with Mark because what else would it be Jame knows about the drowning. So. This is a gross theory but could Drummond be like. Beating Mark up for having sex with Helena and Helly?
so drummond is dead (1/3) because mark killed him. now helly needs to get jame (2/3). and gemma needs to get dr. mauer (3/3). and all will be well.

in season one, when they go to the perpetuity wing, helena stands in front of myrtle eagan, kier eagan’s daughter, aka the first and only lady ceo of lumon. myrtle’s brother, ambrose, had originally inherited the title of ceo, but was a huge let down. myrtle ended up taking over for him.
maybe this time, helena (the daughter) will end up failing, and drummond (the son) will take her place
