Week 2!
The second show I worked on 3/7 was called “Songwriters in the Cellar; Hosted by Max Somerville”. This type of show was much different from the jazz Bob Baldwin show, and it was awesome to see a totally different vibe in the venue. This was another sold out show for the Pittsburgh Winery. The different artists took turns telling stories and playing songs, and spontaneously would improve and collaborate with one another. I stayed upstairs for this show and worked the doors. The doors were at 8, and the show began at 9 pm. I greeted people at the door and checked their name off the will call list or guest list.
There were a lot of walk ups the night of the show that were disappointed when they saw the sold out sign.
The next night, 3/8 was River City Extension with Air Traffic Controller and End of America. It was the first show the Pittsburgh Winery had done that was promoted by Drusky Entertainment. They had worked together for the Strip District Music Festival, which was extremely successful. The venue was at capacity the whole day for the festival. This show did not sell out, but was still about half full. The room did not look empty at all, because people were spread out sitting at stools around tables enjoying their wine.
I assisted with show day tasks and helped check IDs at the door. Drusky Entertainment has a few more shows coming up at The Pittsburgh Winery that I am expecting to sell out.

It is exciting to see so many different genres of music and demographics come through the venue!
