I received/bought/stumbled on a bunch of goodies this week, and it feels like I had a 2nd birthday and I want to SHOW OFF DAMMIT.
Dragons, pterosaurs, Pokémon and trapdoors below, oh my!
I got some sweet pins from @bogleech who has many an amazing pin and an awesome etsy is here: https://www.etsy.com/market/bogleech
This add the final touches to my Team rocket I've been working on since Christmas:
Then something I got on my payday arrived in the mail- TRAP DOOR FIGURINES!
Goddamn I love this. The worm was a random colour as was Drutt; who can be either original dark green or light grey. The figurines aren't cheap, and the worm needs some blue tack to stand upright, but if you're a trap door fan they're worth it and clearly made with love by NeMA studios : https://www.nemastudios.com/
Finalyl the Charity shops provided me with some Terrible...ly awesome dragons.
A grandma somewhere clearly knitted this with love. Huge too. i had to take him home. Then there is this 3-headed guy who I was surprised and horrified to find was just a little older than me (says mane in 1984 if you cannot see).
LOOK AT THEM FACE:
And I found something I already had- A figure of a Pteranodon from the London museum. This is something I had since I was a child, but mine was worn down over time. So I was surprised to also find an almost mint condition one in a charity shop. I've done a side by side comparison so you can see how age was worn down my old toy.
And finally a colleague of mine surprised me with a gift of some bat stickers. And it's just in time for my new sketchbook so I have adorned it with many a bat sticker (hers are the 4 in the corners)
also adorned the inside over with stickers by my friend @zanthiakhalaplace of her Succulent Sprites. You can find her lovely art for sale here: https://www.redbubble.com/es/people/juditangelo/shop I adore her mermaids too.
I am legally obligated to draw trap door characters when the word 'trap' comes up. And here is the best monster- 'Flyin wotsit thingie'. Causes 'im upstairs to break out in huge purple pimples.
A figurine of this critter was made of this guy. Hilariously the only one out of scale, but this is the right and correct way to treat this creature.
Bonus doodle! Featuring Berk from the Trapdoor. If I have one Halloween insistence it is that you watch the Trap door. They're pretty much all on youtube, part of my childhood and only got better as I became an adult. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9dbAQJIu1o
Here is Berk and a cornucopia of various monster plants.
I'm batty. 83
