Earth 2 Harrison Wells x Reader – You're a genius!

Imagine finding some old Thawne's notebooks that could help you find you the answer to stop Zoom but not understanding all the sciency stuff so you ask Harry for help. Note: This is my first Harry x reader fanfic, hope you like it! (If you did, please do tell me if I should write more! ) Also, that amazing gif isn't mine. --- It was late at night and everybody has already gone home, but you were still sitting in your workshop with yet another already empty cup of coffee. There was no way you could sleep anyway, not with everything that has happened lately. With Zoom still out there. You sighed and drew your knees up against your chest and wrapped your arms around them, hiding the sad expression on your face. This feeling of helplesness was killing you. You could always come up with such great ideas when it came to stopping meta humans but now, when you needed it the most, there was nothing. Blank. But you were running out of time. There were already enough casualties and most importantly, Zoom still had Jessie. And who knows when Zoom gets tired of his games and decides to … no! You shook your head, you can't think like that! It would destroy Harry and you couldn't let that happen. Even though you haven't had the courage to tell him yet, you cared very much about this man and you were determined to do everything to save his daughter. As you reached out for your coffee, checking if there's really nothing left, you noticed something. The locked up drawers of your table. You haven't opened them for months. You locked your memories of Dr.Harrison We- well, Eobard Thawne in there hoping to never open them again. But maybe it was time to do it now. You kept some of his research oriented stuff as well after all. Grabbing the key and opening the lock, you opened the drawer and took out a statch of old notebooks. There were quite a few. Starting with the first one, then moving on the second one and more. You didn't understand everything but quite enough to feel that little bit of hope that you needed. This could be it. There was no way you could figure this out on your own, but thankfully, you knew a man who could. Taking the pile of notebooks, you ran into the Cortex hoping he would still be there. And he was. Of course he was.

Up late trying to come up with a plan to save his little girl. Didn't go so well judging by Harry's desperate and angry throwing stuff all around. You stood at the door trying not to interrupt him but it didn't take him too long to notice you. „S-sorry, I can come in another time.“ You stuttered when he looked you in the eye. „No, it's fine. Did you need anything?“ His voice and expression softened as he came closer to you. „Actually … I think I found something that could help us with Zoom. I found some old Thawne's research notebooks but I can't fully understand all that sciency stuff and I though if somebody could … it would be you.“ Both of you sat down as you layed the content of your hands onto the table. Together you started going through every single page, every single line. Hours have passed and your eyes were getting tired. All of sudden, you heard a shout. „Y/N, you're a genious!“ Harry screamed out and gave you a gentle kiss on the cheek hugging you tightly. It suprised you at first but soon you put your hands around his neck resting your head on his shoulder. „Thank you ...“ „I think I finally know how to stop Zoom.“ He whispered into your ear, his voice trembling. You could feel the tears running down his face. Tears of happiness. Oh god, how you wished you could stay like that forever, you were so happy. „We're gonna get Jessie back.“ You whispered back as you tightened the hug and tangled your fingers into his hair. „Soon.“
