Grasp the situation from an objective lens to see what’s really going on.

I’m seeing some people blame Iris for Barry’s obsession with the future and his family and I need them to take a seat. They will blame everything on Iris and it’s ridiculous! Barry’s issues are NOT Iris’s fault. These are his personal character flaws that he would’ve ended up taking into whatever relationship he ended up in. Iris’s character is not the reason Barry’s growth has been stunted and when I see people who genuinely believe that it’s her fault I know they’re not observing the situation through an objective lens. It’s the writing and it’s been that way since S4. The team dynamic is what’s truly stunting his growth and None of the characters besides side characters are truly growing anymore! Not Cisco, not Joe, not Caitlin, and when the side characters grow it’s not even touched upon or shown to have made a large difference episodes later, so why only single out that Barry is not growing and then pin the blame on Iris?

The hate she receives is insane and they will find anyway to turn her into an antagonistic character when she just isn’t. People should acknowledge that if Barry ended up with their fav instead, it still would end up like this too because his decisions and obsessions are rooted in his own personal fears, flaws, and experiences. 

My final words: Stop projecting your discontent with the writing onto Iris.

alright so as someone who was really into cw the flash last year i just have so many thoughts on it i feel the need to talk abt rn

(idk if this is necessary but major spoilers for like, all seasons of the flash lmao)

- season 4 was the best season with the exeption of barry’s character

- none of the characters are cishet, don’t even try to argue with this

- i dislike almost all of the cannon ships in the show (westallen is on thin fucking ice)

- they ruined barry’s character (he was best in season 1-2)

- one of the reasons I love s4 is because 1, new great characters (like ralph)

- barry has autism and adhd

- caitlin is a lesbian. dont even try to argue w me

- I couldn’t watch past the first few episodes of s7, and dropped it, and this is coming from someone who has never dropped a show once I get to s2-3

- a major reason for that is because of all the characters they were dropping (particularly cisco)

- barry and iris are t4t

- barry, iris, cisco and caitlin are all trans 

- s3 was hot flaming garbage, and savataar was an awful idea for a villain

- eddie thawne was the kind of character you only appreciate once hes dead

- Ralph Dibny was an underutilised character

- the truth of caitlin’s powers was such a stupid plot I can’t even wrap my head around it. it couldve been good DID representation maybe ?? but it was just messy

- also like I said i haven’t watched much of s7 but ohmygod is the plot about caitlin and frost being seperated so unbelievably stupid like holy shit

- cisco should have never lost his powers I hated that plot sm

- i am so glad julian wasn’t a character they kept he was so stupid LMFAO and also played by tom felton /neg

- the pilot is one of the best episodes in the show
