🌗 🚌 I'd love the hear about both <3
I'll do 🚌 first because I wrote a little more after the last ask!
But the relative quiet doesn’t last, chatter from the tables around her picking up. She looks up to find Hen looking at her, expression warm but inquisitive. Hen bumps her shoulder against the quiet man next to her, who looks up from his lasagna. “Eddie, this is Maddie, she came back from New York with Chimney.” Eddie doesn’t seem to have much to say to that - he seems younger, newer, though the quirk of his lips and the keenness in his eyes make it clear he’s waiting to see where this is all heading. Hen opens her mouth again, but Bobby slides into his seat and clears his throat. She has to thank him later, for directing the conversation towards Chim, asking him about his time off. The Chim she met at the [Greyhound stop] is the same one that shows its face here - a seasoned comedian with a quip to match every story, and a joke to steer every discussion to somewhere light-hearted. Hen matches him beat for beat, falling into an easy teasing and keeping him on his toes with a single arched eyebrow. Eddie is definitely the new guy, eyes constantly moving between everyone in a way but smiling at each bite he takes. She’s probably the same, though all the noises of the table turn into a bubbling brook as she eats way too fast and way too much, an older hunger suddenly rearing its head.
Square brackets my beloved - I've been writing this so long that I can't remember where they met 🤦🏽♂️
Okay, Clegan fic 💀 So I stalled when it started getting even vaguely smutty, so this is taking a little bit longer to write 😅
"Was looking all you wanted to do, Gale?" Even hidden from the light, the silhouette of John's face is as clear as day, insecurity bubbling under the surface and breaking through his voice. What did he want? What could he do? In the face of death and darkness and pin-drop silence, he decides. "No." The word tolls out loud, no longer confined to the inside of his head. Maybe John is the moon too, his grin wide and toothy and brilliant, illuminated by the joy he feels radiating from his skin. He wants to taste it. So he does. John's started moving too but he's quicker, hands coming up to grip John's neck and guide that smile against his own smirk. He tastes golden, a million dollars, like robbing a bank and driving into the sunset.
It only gets better/worse, but have at it 😁
Make me write game
Chapters: 2/8
Second one is up!! Hope y’all like this one it took forever to write
forgot to put this here but i posted a new fic!
Seven Sentence Sunday

The last light disappears below the horizon and the only thing she can see is the occasional pair of headlights, flashing as they drive past.
“Unless you’re planning on taking over and driving all night, we’re going to have to stop.”
She opens her mouth to tell him that she’s not slept while they’ve been on the road, but the only thing that leaves her is a yawn. She snaps her mouth shut, turning away to hide her embarrassment.
“So we’ll find somewhere cheap nearby - unless you want to try and risk it again.”
Trusting that her cheeks aren’t red anymore, she shoots a disapproving look at Howie. He beams back at her.
Oh it's actually Sunday and seven sentences - a Christmas miracle 😝.

Frustrated Friday
Lol I love this as an alternative to the days of the week writing games - thanks for the tag @ajunerose!
Post five or so sentences from the section of your current WIP that you are stuck on, and kind readers can reply with guesses as to what will happen next or what they hope will happen next. You don’t have to provide any other information unless you want to.
I’ve mainly been vidding lately but here’s the latest place I got stuck on a WIP:
She hasn’t driven anywhere other than to and from work in a long time, and the last few years of commutes have only been on the bus, so when Howie offers to drive, she happily lets him.
She fiddles with the radio as he pulls up a map on his phone, cycling through some country drawling and heated talk-show and settling on some cheery pop music. Howie grins and bobs his head as they pull out of the parking lot.

When she’s fully dressed and everything is back to being packed away, she stands facing the door.
She could just leave. She’ll just end up in another story of his, no doubt. Just part of another entertaining anecdote, something for him to tell his colleagues or to illustrate to his fiancé just how much he went through to get to her.
Though, even if it was just to show off, he was kind when he didn’t need to be, stuck around when it made no sense at all, helped her out when all seemed lost.
She doesn’t know who he is, even amongst all his endless chatter, and they never made any promises to each other, even though she knows they’re heading in the same direction. She’s not planning on staying, not there and certainly not here, so what difference would it make if she just slipped out, carried on running?
She leans her forehead against the door, eyes closed for a moment before she opens one to look through the peephole. The bulb outside is fixed, the whole hallway a series of overlapping circles of light, carefully avoiding the doorways along the way.
When she turns, Howie’s face is hidden from view. He’s still lying there on the couch, fast asleep, seemingly without a care in the world.
Treading carefully, she scratches out a note onto the writing pad on the desk. With a final look back, she wheels out her suitcase.

seven sentence sunday
I’m considering myself tagged by @burnthatbridge (still screaming over her snippet!)
Here’s a little more than seven sentences, in the hope that I’ll write more by next week so that I’ve got more to post:
“You’ve got a brother.” It’s the most serious she’s heard him sound, and she catches the tail end of a grimace as she turns to look at him.
“Do you have any family?” It feels like safer ground to ask him about his life, to try and take the air that seems to have cooled down in the last minute and warm it with his previous rambling.
It’s clearly the wrong question and she finds herself watching him for what feels like the first time, as he blinks against the sun streaming into the car and puts the visor down.
“The Lees, I think I mentioned them before? They used to be in LA, they moved to Seattle a few months back. So it’s just me now. Well, me and Tatiana.”
“Your girlfriend?”
“Yeah, my girlfriend, soon to be fiancee, hopefully.” His hand moves to pat against his jacket pocket, a now well-rehearsed gesture.
I think everyone’s been tagged, but just in case: @tawaifeddiediaz, @breannacasey, @swiftiebuckleys, @alkaysani, and anyone else
